Hidden Cafe Bar Social — Restaurant in Wakefield

A Small, Modern, Chic cafe with brilliant food and drinks. A group of 4 of us visited here last night for the 1st time and were very impressed. There is such a nice atmosphere here and the staff were super happy and welcoming.

For drinks: We had pornstar martinis , spicy margaritas and red wine. The pornstars weren’t actually on the menu but they were happy to make them anyway. The cocktails were all freshly made, presented wonderfully and tasted great.

For food: We started with the antipasti and cheese sharing board which had a few different cheeses, few different meats, bread and a couple of dips. This was tasty and would have again. Mains we all got pizzas which were freshly hand made using top quality products.

Highly recommend and will definitely be going again. Thank you for the great food. Your team did you proud.

Our visit today was for breakfast, we each ordered the hidden breakfast from the specials menu, one of which was with scrambled eggs and black pudding. The scrambled eggs were inedible the eggs had just been whisked and fried in oil no seasoning, more like a very large fried egg with a bust yolk. The breakfast comes with a pot of beans in which I had about 13 beans the already small pot was about 1/4 full. I returned the breakfast which then arrived back with some eggs that where actually scrambled, although this time was minus my black pudding, they brought this a couple of minutes later, after I again had to flag down a member of staff to make them aware. When the black pudding came this time it wasn't cooked anywhere near enough so ended up having to leave it anyway. We will not be...

Visited 2 days ago. Absolutely shocking service! We ordered 2 vegan sausage sandwiches and avocado on toast. No mention initially of how long we'd have to wait. The place wasn't full and no one arrived during our stay. After 1 hour and 10 mins we left still waiting for our food. Not once were we approached apologising for the delay. This must be a record for the longest time to cook a couple of sausages and a slice of toast! The staff need to attend a customer service course (several). Won't ever visit again!!! We DID wait over an hour regardless of their response three teas arrived in 10 minutes but we're drank long in advance .... probably hoping we'd order more. Unbelievably poor service...
