We are new to the area and have been three times now. What a truly unique cafe.

The chapel has been converted very sympathetically and with such attention to detail.

Both Jackie and Peter are extremely welcoming and witty hosts!

I just love the original chapel pews and comfy sofas. We have sat all over the cafe and the atmosphere is that of relaxed and a real happy vibe.

There are plenty of books to read in the bookcases and our daughter loves the board games area.

The large toilet would easily accommodate a large buggy or wheelchair. It’s been lovingly decorated and there are so many personal touches to this spacious toilet/baby changing area.

There is ample room out the front to sit with your dog/bike/buggy and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a bite to eat.

I really love the tea cups and saucers. I’ve had a different set each visit and a variety of cakes is delicious.

I can also vouch for the toasties and omelettes!

All in all, a really unique cafe in a beautiful setting.

You will not regret your visit and will receive a very...

Absolutely lovely and welcoming little place with a real sense of community spirit. It's perfect for popping in if you're near the scenic walking and biking trails over Pontrhydyfen viaduct and aqueduct.

Hiker, cyclist and dog friendly. It is in a converted Chapel, so you can walk in with all your winter gear on and not roast as they dont have heating. I was comfortable with my coat off during October as the cooking and sun warms the place up. The repurposed church pews are comfy enough to spend an hour and there are blankets on the back of each if needed, but the hot drinks and food should keep you warm enough inside.

Breakfast and coffee was perfect. The cake is amazing and everything was a great price. We were fully satisfied and there are also vegetarian options. The doggo was happy with his sausage gift!

There was a group of cyclists who parked up outside the doors; they had foot-long baguettes for lunch pretty quickly, so I can only assume they ordered ahead or bought pre-made ones. It looked like a perfect halfway...

Wow, Bethel Chapel Cafe is simply amazing. The Cafe was venue to a family Wake following a beautiful service at Margam Crematorium. It was a very fitting venue for the occasion. It was so lovely to be in the welcoming and warm hands of our dear friends and legendary hosts and owners Jackie and Pete. It felt like we had been wrapped in a comforting hug. The sandwiches were delicious, the coffee divine and the cake was out of this world. Thank you Bethel Chapel Cafe for making a difficult day a day to cherish. We can’t recommend...

Lovely tearoom / cafe located in an old chapel with a unique & cozy atmosphere. They offer teas, cakes, soups and sandwiches. We tried the Wales Rarebite which was very delicious, the carrot & coriander soup was tasty too, and the cakes of course were delicious! The price / portion ratio is fairly good, but a slightly bigger slice from the cakes would be nice. The couple who runs the place are very welcoming and friendly!
