Not sure whats happened here but this place was known for its homemade cakes, just gone in and there was a single slice of apple pie, (out of a box judging by how sharp the slicing was) 1 single piece of choc torte and a single piece of blueberry slice, rather disappointing but to top it all off I ordered the apple pie and asked how it came and was offered cream or ice cream , i took cream and was charged £1.80 for a tiny jug of cream, cant be more than 30ml in it.. no offer to warm the pie up so it was stone cold out the fridge.. 25 quid for a sandwich a cake and 2 coffees so not cheap which is fine when the quality is there but extremely disappointing this visit.. I'd add that the coffee was very nice but the sandwich at not far short of a tenner was disappointing, nothing you couldn't rustle up at home in a few minutes, at the price you'd expect maybe some bakery bread and crammed with filling but seems you're paying a premium to have it served on a slate with a tiny bit of salad.. we won't be hurrying back

Oh my goodness! Betty Berkins coffee shop, near Flint, North Wales, is a fabulous little find! We were travelling through Wales, having left our home in London far behind. We arrived with our little puppy into a very welcoming atmosphere, and in a beautiful setting. Our breakfast and coffee was delicious, and we took out some Rocky Road to enjoy later in the day. It was gorgeous - thick and chocolatey! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We tried to visit for a repeat breakfast the next day (Monday) but found the expansive car park empty…and Betty’s was closed. We were moving on that day to our next destination, so we never had the opportunity again. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Betty and all the staffi

Well the 5 star card had to come out for this place (don't happen very often). Just 3 minutes off the A55, easy parking, great location and dog friendly. Food beautiful, Veggie and Vegan options, staff great, hygiene very good. Shop next door has a great selection of locally made gifts. I ended up spending more than expected, its great to see such skill and dedication in one place. Cakes made locally on-site, recently the cafe has won an award for the trifle for the Queens Jubilee this year. Nice local 30 minute walk down to a couple of lakes and yes you can go fishing. Also hairdressers now on-site make a day of it.

Sorry Betty Berkins but I believe you have let your standards slip over the years. 3 times our order was messed up Today.

The orange juice is made from concencentrate, you can't choose how you want your eggs cooked, hash browns were under done. It seems looking back on pictures from the past the portions are getting smaller too. HP & Heinz Ketcup bottles seem to be getting refilled looking at how grubby the bottles are, so no guarantee it the real stuff.

The place is lovely and so is the ground your on, but for myself and the rest of the family (bearing in mind there was 16 of us at once upon a time eating here) we wouldn't return. At £53 for 3 adults and a child to have breakfast, for me it needs to be flawless.

I strongly believe there is better places for a breakfast now locally, which is a shame because you was my favourite venue for a breakfast.

If you haven't been in the past you should still visit, as you wouldn't know the difference from before and what your...
