We visited here by chance, since our original choice of pub closer to our holiday cottage was closed, yet we're so glad we ended up here! We felt very relaxed, were so welcomed, and the menu had plenty of choice for the pescatarians among us (although perhaps another veggie option on the kids' menu would've been helpful?). There's a refreshingly good choice of veggie and fish options, as well as the usual meat choices, and all reasonably priced. The food is very tasty, very generous portions, and nicely presented. Our dog was welcomed (and spoiled!) too. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, spacious-but-cosy, with wonderful decor. The landlord was really friendly and welcoming too. We'd definitely like to visit again if ever we're in the area.

Recently refurbished this country pub is now brighter and more welcoming for the non-local (some of these older pubs might seem charming but have a distinct "you're not local" atmosphere). That's not true here: friendly staff, good beer and while some might find it a bit quiet - it is a country pub after all - that's surely better than having to take a megaphone with you to hold a conversation. Sunday lunch is excellent: ingredients locally sourced, made to order and plenty of it. Bring a healthy appetite if you're thinking of more than 2 courses. Very very good value for money and absolutely delicious. Best sunday lunch I've had in a long time.

We went there after trail running practice around Penyfan and it was such a nice experience. The Inn is obviously taken good care of - I like how they keep the old architectural elements but rejuvenate and modernise the place so it’s cosy like home 😊 it’s also spotlessly clean!! The owner was very friendly and made sure that we had what we needed. The food was amazing - not averagely good fish and chips and lasagne but ONE OF THE BEST ONES we’ve had. Highly recommend!!! I can feel it’s loved by locals as well! We went there for early dinner / late lunch at 4pm so my pictures look quiet - many more groups came in when we’re leaving.
