Very disappointing Sunday lunch at the Bod Erw yesterday. Booked in for 12 noon. The bar staff took too long to give us two drink (a wine and a lager) then when we were showed to our table it was a table for 12 people. I asked the waitress if we had to share because they were short of tables but was told she thought I had said I was with a group of 12, what I actually said that I was Mrs. Davies and had booked a table for 2 at 12 oclock. She apologised and showed us to another table by the front door which had the filthiest chair I have ever sat on in a restaurant but it looked like the only place free. I had to go over to the bar to ask them to take our order as it had been a while since we had been given the menu's. I ordered a roast chicken dinner and was not impressed at all with the presentation. It looked as though they had scraped the carcass of the chicken in order to make a portion up for me and it was slimy and full of veins. Hardly any gravy so it was dry too, so I left most of it. The cabbage, which I only had a mouthful of I could not chew because it was so stringy and seemed like it had only been blanched rather than cooked. I did tell the waitress that I was disappointed with the meal but no discount was offered: we did not stay for dessert or coffee and we will not be going again. I paid £9.50 for a plate of potatoes for my lunch!!!!
