We were staying with friends in Haverford West and they took us to Caddies, Mayfield, Haverford West a Cafe with a Golf Range to the rear for Sunday Breakfast. It seemed this place was a local institution as it was bursting with customers most tucking into a Full Breakfast though there were other options available. There were family groups including what looked like a birthday breakfast for a ‘little princess’ dressed in a pink Fairy costume (or perhaps it was a Bridesmaids dress) either way it including a diamond studded Tiara which you dont often see in a Cafe? Other customers weren’t quite so well dressed. They offer a range of different breakfast with the Albatross being the biggest and baddest. 4 sausages, 4 bacon, 3 hash brans, 2 fried eggs, 2 fried bread, 2 black pudding, baked beans, mushrooms and toast. (It doesn’t say on the menu just how much toast is provide) We had a table reserved which was a good thing as the staff were obviously over stretched. When we sat at the table the sleeves of my shirt stuck to the table. The surface was so sticky the place mats were impossible to remove and the sauce bottles were held in place as if by Super glue. There was a lot of noise amplified by the construction of the building which gave everything a tinny sound. The menu looked good and I was excited to see it was also very cheap with the small breakfast (The Birdie) at £5, the medium (The Eagle) at £6.95 and the monster (Albatross) at £9.95. All Golf themed. All included Tea or Coffee which saves at least a quid a meal. We had to go up to the counter to order and there was a queue. The lady taking the orders behind some sort of screen was also making and serving the teas and coffees and taking the money. This was clearly a bad business decision as it took far too long and prone to mistakes (one of our drinks had to go back) and it was a Health and Safety disaster waiting to happen. However, we eventually gave our order and paid. It was then a case of waiting though we did have our drinks to keep us going and we could watch the punters trying to hit their golf balls out side of the window. Sadly there wasn't anywhere on the table to put our waste so the litter from our drinks had no home and inevitably ended up stuck to the table. When the food came it looked good though they had fallen into the trap of piling everything on the same plate which isn’t a great idea. Luckily the toast had been placed on the other side of the plate from the baked beans so it didn’t get soggy but the egg was buried. I did eat my two 1/4 slices of Fried Bread which i dont usually do and I really enjoyed it though the calorie count will be colossal. In summary this was a good place for breakfast as long as you dont want a long leisurely brunch with ‘good conversation’. It was almost impossible to hear anything for the back ground noise. But it was comfortable and relatively cheap. Service was ‘Ok’ but the staff were clearly rushed and they had little time to engage with customers. If I had been out all night and needed a 'full fat boys' to soak up the alcohol Caddies would be a perfect choice.

Overall a really good breakfast. Looking through the window onto the driving range. Delicious coffee, and all the ingredients for the breakfast were of good quality, the sausages were a lite bit under browned but still tasted good, egg cooked perfectly, the baked beans weren't swimming in sauce but were really nicely reduced down. The one lady working did her job very well, the cafe was spotless, the meals all came out hot and nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back.

Ehat can i say that hasnt already been said????? This isnt the first time I've been to caddies, and it certainly won't be the last! It's a good quality greasy spoon cafe with a great atmosphere and a driving range..... what more is there to say?! It's clean. The staff are friendly. The clientele are many and varied. It's family friendly BUT the language from some of the customers can be colourful but is usually OK. Be prepared to wait at peak times.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Caddies Cafe in Lower Freystrop, Haverfordwest, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made me feel welcome.

The first thing that caught my attention was the charming decor of the cafe. It had a cozy and rustic vibe, with wooden furnishings and tasteful decorations that created a comfortable and inviting ambiance. The seating arrangements were well-spaced, allowing for privacy while still maintaining a sense of community.

Moving on to the service, I was truly impressed by the attentive and friendly staff at Caddies Cafe. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations based on my preferences. The wait time for my order was minimal, and my food arrived promptly, which is always a plus in my book.

Speaking of the food, I can confidently say that Caddies Cafe exceeded my expectations. The menu offered a wide variety of options, ranging from breakfast items to sandwiches, salads, and daily specials. I opted for their signature breakfast dish, which consisted of perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and flavorful sausages, accompanied by a side of grilled tomatoes and toast. Every component of the meal was fresh and expertly prepared, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.

In addition to the delicious food, Caddies Cafe also impressed me with their attention to dietary preferences. They offered vegetarian and vegan options, which were just as tasty and satisfying as their meat-based counterparts. It's always great to see a cafe that caters to a diverse range of dietary needs.

The prices at Caddies Cafe were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. It felt like a place where you could enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me feeling happily full without any sense of overindulgence.

One aspect that stood out to me was the cafe's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. It's evident that Caddies Cafe values supporting local farmers and suppliers, and this dedication to sustainability is admirable.

Overall, my experience at Caddies Cafe was exceptional. The friendly atmosphere, attentive service, delicious food, and commitment to sourcing local ingredients all contributed to a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast, a quick bite, or a leisurely lunch, Caddies Cafe in Lower Freystrop, Haverfordwest, is definitely...

We came in today, we don't get to go out often for breakfast. My wife, myself, and our 7 year old who has allergies. There were 3 or 4 tables sat eating. We asked for an allergen list which at first they couldn't find, we had to look through what looked like delivery reports, etc until we found the right folder. They were massively incomplete, breads, gluten free sausages, etc missing from the list. Feeling pressured to finally make an order (a queue had formed behind us) we sat and waited - hot food came quickly, which was delicious. We still didn't have our toast delivered, so I tried several times to get the waitress' attention, I even called "excuse me" but she was to busy heading back to the kitchen to notice me. Worried we would finish breakfast before our toast arrived to make it the perfect breakfast, I followed her and waited outside the kitchen. I mentioned that we hadn't been given toast yet, she said she'll get it "in a minute". We finished breakfast having never received our toast, so we thought we'd mention to the waitress that the food was nice, but the order was incomplete (and that it would be nice if the staff were more aware of allergens). The waitress became defensive and told us it "was the waitress' first day" with a bit of a defensive tone, as if she was implying we need to be more tolerant. We left feeling as if we wished we shouldn't have mentioned any dissatisfaction, as we were a bit of an inconvenience, not to mention a little annoyed. If you have allergies, I'd give...
