Probably THE best cafe in the British Isles! Run by a fabulous team of gorgeous ladies who can’t do enough for their customers. Food is excellent, fresh, tasty, portion sizes just right, great value and served with a friendly smile and a chat if you wish. Their homemade sausage rolls (especially the caramelised onion ones) and cakes are to die for - compliments to the chefs! Real good old fashioned customer service from Jackie, Andrea, Karen, Margaret, Lynn, Naomi - we were so impressed we had to find out everyone’s names. Love this place, can you tell? Only one complaint, the cafe is too far away from home for us to be regulars though a 300 mile round trip would be worth it! Caffi Siop Mechell is Llanfechell's community hub and is owned and run by the village.

All the helpers are local volunteers, with the exception of Liz who prepares the food and Jackie who is in front of house, and post-mistress Elaine who opens the Post Office on a Tuesday afternoon.

Other volunteers help with the garden, with maintenance, management and with the running of the Caffi and outreach.

All meals are prepared and made fresh to order. Gluten free options are available.

Whilst there, pay a visit to the Stiwdio and browse through locally made arts and crafts. Perhaps treat yourself to a local treasure.

Recommended by friends and so glad we were. The perfect breakfast to start the day right. Everything cooked to order. Perfect portion size. Reading the available information i discovered the the Cafe is staffed and run by volunteers. They do an amazing job from warm friendly welcome to perfectly cooked and presented food....
