Conwy Garden World Lavender Tearoom — Restaurant in Wales

Called in for breakfast this morning, sat down at 10:50, a member of staff took our order 15 minutes later. Another 25 minutes and still no breakfast, told staff we couldn’t wait any longer. 40 minutes to get a breakfast in a not very busy place is ridiculous. Noticed when tables were cleared they were not even wiped down, our table was dirty from previous diners. One cleared table had used napkin left another had used teaspoon left. Staff didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing. Needless to say we will NEVER go back. Only good thing I can report was when we said we couldn’t wait any longer they didn’t charge for the tea and coffee we had. Also noticed 2 other couples left after long wait. Can’t comment on the food except to say a lot of people left most of their food on their plates, I can only presume it was as poor as the service. We've been to the Lavender Tea Rooms many times this year and always enjoy the meals (usually Sunday lunch) they really are tasty and plentiful. A roast of beef with Yorkshire puddings or roast turkey etc etc. Today, because it was so hot we decided on a poached salmon salad, and it was absolutely delicious, so much so that I am writing this review, it was plentiful and a variety of ingredients, very tasty.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate dietary requirements, they clear tables quickly in order to accommodate anyone waiting, the seating is very comfortable too. All in all a very enjoyable meal. Well done to the kitchen staff and the front of...

Lovely people, good for vegans

The staff are lovely, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Although no vegan options on the menu just yet (I believe that may well change soon), the staff were inventive and cared for us wonderfully.

I had a vegan sausage baguette with tomatoe chutney, plus a side order of leek and potatoe soup - fabulous!

My wife had a vegetarian quiche, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

The surroundings are stylish and comfortable, pricing is very reasonable.

One tiny observation, some additional signage to the Tearooms from within the main building might help the navigationally challenged, like me!
