Bit of a hit and miss, came in yesterday around lunch time and it was our first time trying here as on holiday locally.

Personally my food was nice, however my partner and my 4 year old both said the sausages tasted burnt (they were almost black). The portion sizes were good for money even though they forgot an item of our food.

However the atmosphere let down the whole experience. We were inside and there was 2 other tables that were occupied by others and you could hear them speaking negatively about their experience here. Witnessed both tables get no cutlery and having to ask for it, heard them speaking loudly about missing items on their plates, heard them speaking about the cleanliness and heard them speaking about the waitress serving their drinks to the opposite table (which did happen).

Personally, our table appeared dirty, although it was just stainage on the placemats. We had an issue with missing food items, but other than that our food appeared quickly which another table started to moan about as one of their foods came out 10 minutes before the other persons.

It does appear family friendly and I believe family run, however doesn't seem the best when the younger girl and boy are arguing loudly behind the counter and having to be told off by...

I cannot, in all honesty, give more stars. The first impression is always key, and my first impression was of drabness. Then dirt, then flies. There is one vegetarian option on the menu. This is the so-called Veggie Pantry. Basically, it's just egg, beans, tomatoes, a few desultary sliced mushrooms and a pair of greasy, overcooked, hash browns. No veggie sausage. No imagination. The toast that came was horrible and unevenly toasted and was spread with something closer to car grease than to butter. As to the coffee. I admit, I'm a coffee snob. I don't like instant coffee. But I can usually tolerate it. I left half of it. It was almost - but not quite enough - tasteless. It could have been pea juice for all I could tell.

You are in a prime position for the local tourist camps as well as for passing locals. Please do...

We were travelling through the area and looking for somewhere to stop for breakfast when we found this lovely little restaurant that had just opened after the lockdown (takeaways only). We were greeted by a lovely friendly girl who took our order and explained the breakfast would come in a box complete with cutlery. We had the most delicious breakfasts delivered to our car (no waiting inside). Lovely tasty breakfast with quality ingredients, and to my joy they were both piping hot. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, tasty food, friendly staff and a spotlessly clean. Please go and support these lovely local businesses, they need us now...

Had a few breakfasts here during my stay at Haven. Very consistent, no issues with quality. Recently under new ownership. Delicious sausage and bacon not cheap catering sausages like some others in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ingredients given the low price, everything in the picture was a little over £14 (including a lemon doughnut that was wrapped to take out). The husband and wife owners are super friendly and genuinely seem happy to please which adds to the atmosphere. Will be returning at the beginning of April with my partner who can't wait to see what the fuss is about. Ten on Ten.

Woke up Sunday morning fancying a good breakfast and a quick Google revealed this place and thought worth a try due to such good reviews. Wow what a great place and absolutely immaculate (5 Star hygiene rating). The food is of a very high standard, plenty of it and reasonably priced. We were served with a smile and all the staff were friendly and accommodating creating a welcoming atmosphere. Parking is easy right across the road and free so not a problem to get to for less mobile people and no steps to deal with either. I will be visiting more often as they do all sorts of specials, sandwiches cakes etc.
