Came for Christmas dinner, staff were lovely and polite. All cheerful :) All worked very hard.

I had the lamb shank which was beautiful, the best one I’ve had. My family had the turkey which they said was also lovely.

Only 4 stars given due to the positioning of the table. I know it might seem silly! But we were on a small table smack bang in the middle of the room, I understand it’s a busy day however throughout the meal there were constantly people queuing for the bar surrounding our table, as in if you wanted to pull your chair out you would have to fight for room. It felt a bit like we were in a fish tank. People and staff squeezing by constantly knocking into the chairs. It just seemed like the table had been abandoned in a random place in the room! :(

Overall though, disregarding that we all had such a lovely time. The food arrived piping hot, everything was cooked to perfection. Timings were great too, we weren’t waiting long between courses but also didn’t feel rushed either.

I had the tomato and mozzarella starter which was amazing, I would return just for that!!

Thank you so much, for taking time out of your Christmas Day so that we didn’t have to cook or wash...

Lovely venue, food a huge let down. Sunday roast was not great, pre packaged mash which I suspect is either frozen pellets or Peka Mash, roasters no seasoning, turkey and beef tasted dry which I am sure was cooked the day before, veg was from frozen which you could tell in the taste, the stuffing was a pre made frozen item, but, the Yorkshire pudding was nice. Not enough gravy which again was a powdered instant which tastes like it was a paste then warmed up. The secret to an amazing roast is fresh items. This will be stand out to the rest!

No checkbacks done and they did manage to not quite get the order right, they did manage to get it right after 3 visits to the kitchen.

Drinks were good, slightly on the more expensive side which are more expensive than Chester city and Wrexham city prices.

Kids area and out door area nice, clean and maintained.

The reason I didn't award the two additional stars is purely down to the food, incorrect order and the no checkbacks done.

May return for drink but definitely not food...

Myself and my friend visited for lunch before we went to work yesterday on arrival we were greeted by a lovely friendly gentleman who showed us to a table in the quieter part of the pub. The pub itself was absolutely pristine condition very clean and tidy with menus displayed clearly, we both ordered via the app that was pointed out to us by the manager our drinks came instantly nice and cold in clean glasses. Cutlery and condiments were already on the table we didn't want for anything. Our food came out quickly and was hot and fresh and very tasty we both had the fish and chips and really enjoyed with both garden and mushy peas. Whilst in the pub I visited the ladies which was clean and impeccable. We witnessed the staff interacting with guests in a friendly respectful manner throughout assisting infirm guests when required and assisted with enquiries whilst maintaining a smooth flow of people. Highly recommend a lovely place to eat...
