What a find!! Just off the Glendwr way. Opening time 4pm. I had anticipated poor real ale if any at all and only fizzy keg beer. Ye of little faith!! This was NOT what I found! The place is undisturbed by new fangled 'upgrades' and the beer was excellent. Some cherry locals 1 pint down by 4.15. No messing in Wales. The bar man was chatty and welcoming.

Good beer and good company. Prices reasonable too. A Conwy beer on offer plus a Loch Lomond one which was fine despite the journey. See picture though in a Wye Valley glass!

Great pub that saved our AirBnB stay!! The food was delicious, well priced, and the staff were friendly! We all agreed that if we come back to North Wales that we would definitely stay with you. Thank you very much! Sorry for calling you and laughing on the phone, thought I’d lost my keys then found them just as you picked up!! Would give you a higher rating...

A step back in time to a more relaxed and simple time. Sat in the delightfully basic small front bar listening to a pair of locals converse in a combination of Welsh and English (for the swear words) supping a local fine ales. Unpretentious and welcoming....
