Basic eating facilies with self service hot and cold drinks, cakes etc. Gluten intolerance catered for very well with most cakes free of gluten which makes a change .. and very tasty too. The star of the show however is the gallery and the sheer quality and variety of the work on display from over one hundred talented artists. Some of the work borders on genius while all is inspiring. Prices range from a few pounds to thousands and objects from small items such as delightful keyring decor to life size horse sculptures. We were particularly impressed by the work of Kate Pasvol who produces inspirational 3D effects with glass, inspired in the main by landscapes of Wales. So impressed week we that we walked out with her central display piece safely wrapped and purchased, which was pretty amazing considering we stumbled across this gallery by accident. It truly is inspirational. The gallery has good parking facilities with tables and grass area suitable for picnics, features a train to fascinate the children and is also ideally located for river walks (part of the Wye Valley Walk), and the River Wye here is indeed particularly beautiful! One word of advice, this gallery exhibits a range of often delicate fragile pieces of work. As such it is not a play area and care must be taken. There are polite signs on display asking that children's hands be held inside the gallery. One look inside at the nature of the exhibits will show the sense behind this request. We wholeheartedly recommend Erwood Station Gallery to all, you will not be disappointed with what you find at this treasure Oh, and credit facilies, if required,...
Read more5 stars all round. Visited today with my wife, step son, our friend and her two children. The food delicious, cakes to think about for a long time, tasty toasties. All food and drink seemed to be homemade and local. The area is delightful, the tea rooms comfy with a delightful added bonus of binoculars for bird watching. The arts and crafts on sale were brilliant. The sort of place where you go and want everything on sale! ( and not on sale the doggy is wonderful)
The staff were friendly and attentive. They were all happy and smiley.
The best thing though, it supported local important charities, and had LGBTQ+ items on sale. The whole place was really inclusive and made me feel safe and welcomed. I enjoyed seeing that they supported pride and the owner/manager told me they were very supportive of the LGBTQ + community.
A really delightful place I would visit again and again and again. I'm so glad we went out of our way to visit this charming...
Read moreLovely little spot to stop at for a rest. Friendly staff, a decent selection of snacks and plenty to look at. Just be careful if you go for the Riverside Walk as there is a home owner on the opposite side of the river who is overly protective, hence the warning signs everywhere to stick to the path and not actually go down to the river side. They warned me off after seeing me at the waterside literally 2m away from the path, stating they had seen me on their CCTV! Created a very unfriendly atmosphere in a beautiful little spot. So sadly cannot recommend the walk unless you like seeing warning signs akin to a prison and are prepared for a bit of conflict. Stuck to the car park and enjoy the atmosphere and the old...
