Grill House — Restaurant in Wales

Reservation required. We had booked in advance of our meal, a pleasant chap on the phone took our details (name and contact number) most likely for track and trace during the pandemic. On arrival in the fenced car park to the rear, a path leads around the back of the building to the entrance. At the foyer we were warmly greeted by the front of house staff all wearing masks, also in the foyer there is a hand sanitizer station for guests and clear markings on the floor reminding you to keep your distance. We were led to the spacious dinning room and shown to our table. Each table was segregated by a small table marked with tape (not to be used by diners). The decor is spectacular and clear Perspex screens were used to ensure guest safety while maintaining the display of some of the cool trinkets and ornaments. As expected the food was outstanding and despite being fairly busy and the additional measures in place, extremely quick to arrive. All in all our first family meal out definitely exceeded expectations 😁 100% recommend this place to put you at ease in uncertain times and outstanding food. Thanks to Jan and her colleagues for their exceptional service....will defo be returning... Will save space for dessert next...

We had food from the 'before 5pm menu', it's supposed to be £9.95, I think it is. We were overcharged, we didn't notice (my hubby paid while I helped a relative to negotiate the steps) when we got home i had to ring but they did refund the extra £6 on the phone. Still I'm glad I noticed. The food looked lovely. Gammon was nice, pineapple not grilled like I've had in other places, and it cames with 1000s of peas which weren't mentioned on the menu(I checked, I hate them, I usually ask not to have them). Hubby has fish, again it looked impressive but he said it had no taste. Loads of batter to find the fish. The chips left an oily taste in my mouth as well as being overcharged. The staff were pleasant and helpful and handled the refund no issues saying the promotion hadn't worked on the till, though it took forever to get an answer on the phone, it rang and rang and rang. So maybe check your bill. I won't be visiting again.

This is honestly such a great place to come for a meal, really professional, the girl (with blue hair sorry I'm all with names) serving us was lovely, she was so complementary to my fiancé about how beautiful she looked, which was a lovely thing to say especially on her birthday. Also her friend who was a tall slim blonde lady was also super polite and welcoming, we really felt at home. Food is always amazing from here, I had the big grill which is a feast in itself but my son had the medallion Sunday roast which stole the show and I think we ran out of room for all the plates in the end 😂😂. Value here is excellent as well, really is, and if you're not huge eaters you could share a lot of it. It was busy on Sunday and we had a bit of a wait but that was all explained to us and in truth it wasn't that bad considering how busy it was.
