We recently stopped by the Hampton Arms whilst heading back home from a walk along the river. The service and grub was outstanding. The barmaid was very quick in preparing our drinks ( there was quite a few of us) . We then proceeded to the beer garden to sit down. A couple of minutes later , the barmaid appeared with our condiments for our food. She also come with a bowl of water, and some treats for the pooches we had with us. This was a very thoughtful gesture. Throughout our visit, the barmaid regularly checked on us and provided more treats for the dogs. We ordered a few bowls of cheesy chips to snack on with our beers. Read moreWhen we got there we were greeted by friendly but busy staff, we sat down and chose a starter and a main and we were extremely happy with the food for the price. The thing that let it down was that the kitchen closed completely at 8pm so we could not order dessert. Usually when food orders stop food places will still allow time for paying customers to finish their meal and order a dessert if needed but the chef left at 8pm. Read moreBooked 2 weeks ago for a birthday meal for 11 people. Were seated on two separate tables. Pre booked 4 Sunday dinners of Lamb and were reassured that we could pick of the main menu. As we arrived we were told that we all had to have sunday dinners and our Pre booked lamb dinners were also not available. As we all finally managed to find meals and it arrived, we had no yorkshire puddings on our plates even so it stated on the menu for Sunday dinners Yorkshire puddings on all dinners.
