Excellent! Just visited today after their big refurbishment and I'm genuinely really impressed. Firstly, the whole place looks much nicer (both inside and out), but more importantly, the overall standard of the food was superb! I've been eating here for years and always found it ok... Not good, not bad, just adequate. The service has always been good and the staff are always professional, welcoming and friendly, but the significant difference in the meals was commented on by everyone on the table. The salad bar was fully stocked, fresh and well presented. The new refill station for the soft drinks now offers far more choices, but the cherry on the cake for me was the main meal. We didn't have to wait any time after ordering before it was brought to the table, it was a good sized portion of food and it was all really, really, nice! If you've never been here before (or haven't visited in a while), I'd strongly recommend stopping here, if you're fancying some great value for money, pub-grub-grill-style food!

Ultimate combo I highly recommend!. Abseloutly stunning!. Service was good drinks were served promptly. My only let down was that the only thing I usually have from the salad bar is pasta. And with it being my first time to this particular branch I was very surprised that the pasta that was different like a stained orange and very dry I only had a bread roll as i didnt like the look of the pasta which is all i usually have. Is this the pasta you serve always or was there a problem and thats why the pasta was different? I didn't take a picture because I didn't eat it my partner did and said it was very dry and had no taste. We love harvesters signature pasta on the salad bar but don't know why this is the only branch I've seen a pasta like this. But listed as tomato and herb with no herbs on? Would appreciate a response thanks :)

Dinner - Typical Harvester food served with a smile. The 1kg ribs HUGE and were fabulous. 30 min wait at peak time Saturday evening (no reservation) but to be expected from a popular venue. Cosy searing area with reasonably priced bar whilst waiting. Breakfast - Free continental bar and plenty of refillables for adults and children. Great food portions and well cooked, really quite tasty. Service above and beyond from lovely kind waitress. Only niggle was orange and apple juice ran out quickly and large delays in refilling, however waitress actually brought fresh juice (once availablel to tables to refill, nice touch. This appears a well run Harvester and well worth a visit.

Came here today with my son, first time ever having Christmas dinner out due to personal circumstances and wanted it to be special. Sadly this is not a good review and would like to start by saying this is no reflection on the staff that were serving as they were rushed off their feet and tried their best. We sat down 20 mins late, waited 45 mins for our starter to be served, the food we noticed had been sitting on the shelf for a while. I had pate’ which was warm from standing on the hot plate so long, ,the butter I opened had melted to an oil and spilt over the table. Our Christmas dinner was served which was Luke warm and the Yorkshire pudding was very noticeably black around the top, this would have been seen when the chef plated this up,”I wouldn’t have served this to my Dog”. As we were hungry and waited so long for our meal it was pointless even addressing this, my son hardly touched his meal. I mentioned this to the waitress serving us and she couldn’t apologise enough, but kept her head down with embarrassment. Not once were we asked if our meal was ok. There wasn’t much atmosphere and attentiveness as they were far too busy. More time should be given between bookings so people don’t have to wait and maybe not have so many at once so the personal touch can be given to each individual. The meal itself was not cheap and I personally feel that the price we paid £57 per person should have been refunded. The young waitress did give us a bottle of Prosecco as an apology but it does not take away the disappointment and the fact there was no acknowledgment from the manager. I would not recommend this place especially on the one day of the year that is supposed to be special.

So I get a reply with no real apology, after spending over £120 including drinks for them to say they will pass it on to the manager. Absolute disgrace as it ruined our day, will never use this restaurant again and after reading other reviews I think you have major problems at your restaurant and obviously do not care about...

We enjoy coming here and had a good night once again. (7:30pm on 4th August - Sunday evening) The food was very good but there were a few things that disappointed me on this occasion that need mentioning; in the hope that such things can be improved upon.

A number of foods were not available and we should have been informed of this before taking our place at the table or even after sitting down at the table but not when we were in the actual process of ordering, which is what happened. Pepsi Max as well as other soft drink choices were not available. Neither were there any Jacket Potatoes or the Full MAX Ribs. The Rocky Horror desserts had no whipped cream on them as again, they had run out.

One thing that I did find unacceptable is that my wife and I ordered food that included hot honey sauce. It was only when I asked the waitress, who then asked the chef, why it was sweet chilli sauce and not hot honey that we had been served, that I heard the chef tell her that they had none left. The waitress then asked if if that was why we had been served the chilli sauce instead! Did they think we wouldn't notice? It felt a bit deceitful and the waitress didn't apologise either, which I felt was a bit amiss. My sauce came in a separate pot but my wife's meal had the sweet chilli sauce on the ribs itself. What if she didn't like sweet chilli sauce? The meal would have been ruined.

We were served by Liz and she was efficient and decent enough but a little lacking in the personal touch. It was probably at the end of a long, what had obviously been a busy and tiring day and so I understand but small touches go a long way. A smile, a please and thank you and also an acknowledgement of when the customer says please and thank you. It's important to remember, especially when people are paying a lot of money - that your routine day in work is someone else's special day out (in this case the...

Appalling food. To start with the young people working there were nice enough. So we sat down and ordered. All fine. We went to get from the salad bar. Very little left and not a lot of choice. We had to scrap the bottom of the bowls for what was left. There was no bread rolls or butter left. There was a couple of people in there so I don’t know what these hadn’t been restocked before me asking when there was plenty of staff working. Waited fifteen minutes for the bread and butter. When it finally came the bread was half frozen. So any way we snacked on that. The wait for our mains was longer than expected. By the time we finally got that I was shocked! I ordered the gammon, the tomato was totally gone off I had to spit it out. The onion rings were saturated with grease, so was the egg. The meat was hot but not cooked the same all the way through. The chips were measly. And the peas were old hard and cold. My two kids meals, were even worse! Shocking portions! One son had chicken stripes, which are always battered, these looked like three limp fridge strips of chicken no coating and cold! Both their mash potatoes were dry old lumps. My other son orders a £10, 4 oz steak, we asked for medium well done. Well it was nearly burnt! The smallest medallion I’ve ever seen. We were so hungry after being out all day we picked at it and we should have. I managed to get £18 off but it was still well over priced! I eat out regularly but this is by far the worst meal we’ve ever had out totally disappointed not one good thing to...
