Nice place, nice and warm but mixed opinions from our group. As per A Sunday visit and it being St davids day we were hoping for a lamb roast. The only meat available for the roast was turkey. All the veg was placed on the plate, not particularly how we like it, as we prefer veg separate so you can put on your plate what you like. Without feeling guilty for what you don't like. My bil had the chicken curry it smelt delicious and tasted the same too and hubs had the fish and chips and said It was also very nice fresh and would return for the same dish. Deserts we love them I ordered the cheesecake it was average it come with raspberries (frozen, inedible) and a small pot of cream. There were a childrens ice cream with marshmallows and choc sauce a gingerbread sundae and the waffles everyone enjoyed there deserts said they were nice and tasty.

For the food we would return, unfortunately it's unlikely to be soon, we had with us an 11 month old baby, they don't have high chairs and no baby changing facilities. So if u have young children bare this in mind. Your meal would be consistent of baby being passed around or eating your meal warm.

If you don't have young babies with you then your sorted and I'm sure you will enjoy your meal/visit.

The Kings head is clean and warm thanks to the log burners and the staff are friendly polite and...

Have eaten here a few times this year and over the years, my family eat here all the time, not had a good time there today, I know people have off days, I came at 9.50am for breakfast with my elderly mother, it was hale stoning and very cold outside, I thought the pub opened at 9am , it was my mistake it's 10am on a Thursday, the young lady said I am sorry I am not allowed to let you in yet . I must be old school, if it was my pub I would of said come in and have a warm but we are not serving till 10am, the young lady opened on time we ordered our breakfast, I asked for a bowl of water for my service dog, and I was told no , there was a bowl of water by the front door, it was not the young lady fault, I have always had a bowl of water there every other time I have been there, it upset and I don't feel like I want to go back. Please don't be put off from going to the kings head it is usually good and I have never had a problem...

Well, what can I say about the Kings Head? We'd been to Errdig NT for the day (6 of us plus a toddler) and we tried to find a pub on a sunny Saturday evening; not easy. The first one we called was booked up and aren't we glad! We ended up here at the Kings Head, which was about 10 mins drive from Errdig. The staff were very accommodating and the menu was good pub food. I must say we didn't expect much, but we were very surprised at how good everything was. We all had something different and there was not a scrap left. We all commented on how much we'd enjoyed our meals. The chips get special mention as they were the best chips I've ever had in a pub. There were 2 large screen TVs showing rugby; we were in Wales after all! So, thanks go to the Kings Head for finishing off a lovely day for us all. If we are in the area again we will...

Nice and bright pub with a good selection of food and drinks. It was pretty full as we arrived but we'd booked a table and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very prompt with drinks and food orders and so friendly. We had the pulled chicken, halloumi and garlic bread for starters which were all delicious but particularly the pulled chicken which was fried and nice and crispy. I had the bacon and cheese burger for a main and it was the best burger I've ever had! Just perfect. We perused the desserts through the fun little counter and took away the biscoff lotus cheesecake and the pistachio cake which were fresh and delicious. I'd happily go back next time I'm in the area.

Community pub in Bwlchgwyn. Great to see this pub open as it brings the locals together. Two lovely ales from local facers brewery on. Serves food.. Home made cakes and open from 9 for brecwasts(Thursday Friday Saturday I think) which I'm told by several people is very nice. Good service too. Could do with some dimmer lighting in evening which would add to the ambience but that's just me as I'm getting more wrinkly by the day. Recommended 🍻

Had a lovely roast dinner in the Kings Head today, just a short drive from my daughter and son in laws house, didn't realise this hidden gem was so close until I googled restaurants in bylchgwyn. We didn't wait long at all , the staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very festive and welcoming on a very misty winter day. Will certainly be paying this place another visit.
