A really friendly and welcoming little cafe. Stopped in for a quick bit of lunch. You walk in, and choose your own table. There's a dog friendly side, a main seating area and breakfast bar style seats overlooking the lake. There's further seating outside and the views there are spectacular. There's a menu on the table but there's also a specials board tucked in the main room with tasty fresh options. Service is fast, and the food is well priced and nice enough. The staff were fantastic though, checked how we would like everything and were really accommodating (salad in a separate bowl etc). Impressed with the chicken goujons which were nice good chunks of proper chicken. The bakes were less exciting for what they were but still tasty. Decent selection of veggie options and a few that looked to be fully vegan which is always nice. A great lunch time pit stop on a journey, and a lovely place to stop by for an ice cream/cuppa!

I kid you not, one of the best places in North Wales for breakfast. I have graced this café many times. Every time a fab breakfast. The full works. Big breakfast including sausages, bacon, eggs, fried slice, hash brown, beans, tomatoes, toast, tea or coffee. The view is stunning and so is the breakfast. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Toilets clean. Other foods and drinks are available, but it's that breakfast for me every time. 🍳😍 Edit: Went tonight for the Greek menu, Omg, it was the best. Had the lamb stifado, it was amazing. Absolutely beats a lot of local restaurants hands down. Always visit here for a breakfast, which is always on point, but the Greek menu is something else. Try it. You won't regret.🇬🇷

Stopped by Lakeside on a sunny afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! A generous serving of chips with a mildly spiced curry — hit the spot. The portion size is great, and the flavor reminded me of comforting Indian home-style food. If you’re vegetarian and craving something Indian in the area, Lakeside has a good vegan option (curry with rice) that are simple but satisfying. It’s not an elaborate Indian restaurant, but it’s definitely a solid pick for a quick bite with familiar spices — especially when enjoyed outdoors by the lake. Kid-friendly too!

I want to share with you my experience at a lovely place called Lake Side Cafe in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Wales. I visited this cafe with my wife, daughter and our dog, a fox terrier, and we had a wonderful time.

Lake Side Cafe is located next to a beautiful lake called Llyn Tanygrisiau, which is part of the Ffestiniog Power Station. The cafe has a stunning view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, and you can even walk around the lake and enjoy the scenery. The walk is about 3 miles long and it's an easy walk, suitable for all ages and abilities.

The cafe itself is very cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and a large menu. We decided to have the English breakfast, which was delicious and filling. It came with eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast and butter. The portions were generous and the food was cooked well. The best part was the tea, which was a cracking brew of tea. It was hot, strong and refreshing, just what we needed.

The cafe is also dog friendly, which is a big plus for us. They have a water bowl outside for thirsty dogs. The staff were very attentive and kind to us and our dog, and they made us feel very welcome.

We really enjoyed our visit to Lake Side Cafe and we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat and relax in Snowdonia. The food is great, the service is excellent, the view is amazing and the walk is lovely. What more could...

I'm normally a fan of this place. unfotunately after visiting today, I will no longer be using the place. We arrived at 2 pm The lady behind the counter took a food order from the guy in front of my partner, then said no more food. So he just got 2 coffees for us instead of the food we had wanted. Before leaving I asked the staff, most of which were sat down eating, if this was now a regular thing as I would avoid coming at certain times to ensure getting food. The reply was "we've been very busy and deserve to eat..... " My reply... OK .... but is this a regular thing and what times should I avoid coming if I want food? As being in hospitality, I have always sent my staff one at a time to ensure they eat and my customers still come 1st. "Could be any time, so don't always expect food when you come" was the reply.

Well if that is the attitude towards paying customers, then I will not bother coming back or recommending you to any one else. There are plenty of other cafes to choose from for bikers who are out most days wanting refreshments...

We visited Lakeside Cafe after a Welsh friend recommended to us as we always take our dog and will not venture into a place if they don't dogs in.What a warm welcome from the owner Mari and her staff and also some lovely Welsh people we met whilst we were there.Whoever said the Welsh were unfriendly should really have a good look at themselves as everywhere we go people are so warm but then again I would like to think we are .Great menu selection and the Cafe have special food nights occasionally I believe. We had 2 fab breakfasts plenty of coffee and wonderful Bara bread for afters. The prices are so so reasonable and the views amazing!! As we live locally we will be making this our regular treat for ourselves. If your in the area you won't be disappointed by the warm welcome and food and best of all dogs are allowed in with well behaved owners :) and you will get to met Nuno the cafe dog tell Mari the owner you read our review...
