One of the rare poor experiences at McDs. I don't expect much from any McD franchise, but I do expect to get hot, fresh food in a timely manner. Additionally, if you are going to use technology to take orders, at least check that it works properly from time to time. It took over 15 minutes to get our order at the counter, it tasted like it had been waiting in a box for 30 minutes. I requested no pickle, which was full done, but they seemed to replace them with extra sauce, which made the patties slide out of the bread as soon as it was picked up. The mess was unappealing, but the flavour was worse. The extra sauce didn't help with keeping the cooked food hot either. It seems that if you decide to eat in at any McDonald's these days, you instantly become 3rd class customers. 1st class are the multitude of delivery couriers, you know the ones, scooter or compact hatchback outside, loud coloured oversized thermal insulation bag on the counter, and huge order waiting to be stuffed into said bags! 2nd class are the ones that are far too busy to spend time at a table, eating at a comfortable speed, they have to grab their food from a side window and then speed off, chewing and swigging along the way, in between answering the hands free and looking at the digital directions, really not distracted from driving, at all! Eventually you, the 3rd class customer, the one who turned up in person, probably hoping for some pleasant, person to person service and interaction. What you actually get is likely, the chips (they're not fries, we're not American), are cooled as the freshly cooked ones went into bags and cars, as probably did the best of the burgers. The drinks are the only thing prepared just before you get them! If you complain, they apologise, but nothing changes. My reviews, honestly reflect my experiences, I have made similar observations at another brand (BK) with complaints made to local managers and recently, the experiences there have improved greatly. I wonder if McDonald's will...

After a long drive home, I stopped to grab food for me and my partner. Got home, opened the bag — no burger. Just the fries, drink, and a lovely sense of regret. So I called the store, hoping for a quick fix. Spoiler: didn’t get one.
The woman who answered — proudly announced herself as the manager — was already annoyed the second she picked up. She swore she packed the bag herself and said everything was definitely in there. I gave her the receipt number, exact time, even the store number — she said nope, there’s no such order. None. Why? Because (drumroll)… she had apparently already checked every single receipt from 23:00 up to that very moment. Impressive, right? Speed-reading receipts like a checkout ninja.
But then, when I pointed out the order clearly existed — y’know, because I had the printed receipt in my hand — she changed the story and suddenly said she was just about to go check the computer for the invoices. Like magic, she remembered how to use a till after I caught her in a lie. But then, plot twist: now she refused to help me, because apparently asking her to acknowledge basic facts was just too much.
I mean, how dare I suggest that the receipt from her own store, with her store’s number, and a timestamp that matches my call, might actually… exist? Outrageous.
Then came the grand finale. She said she was “busy,” told me to “go through customer service,” and then, with all the grace of a top-tier hospitality professional, wished me a “shitty night” and hung up.
All I wanted was the burger I paid for. Simple transaction. Instead, I got gaslit, lied to, blamed, and hung up on — all for daring to suggest that my receipt wasn’t a work of fiction.
McDonald’s, if this is the standard for “manager” behaviour, I’d hate to see how complaints are...
Read moreI am very disappointed with my experience of my vist to McDonald's in fabin way. I placed my order at the touch screen after 15mins I was still waiting for my food ,I could see my food on conveyer belt waiting to be bagged up. After another ten minutes of waiting I finally recieved my food went and sat down, and to my amazement the food was cold, and my partner coffee was cold aswel. After going back to the Counter to express my concern about the food and coffee being cold I was found waiting another 10 minutes for my replacemnets. After returning to my table I noticed a McDonald's employee middle aged lady struggling, I asked if she was okay, and to my horror she had opened up to me about how much pain she was in through tooth ache, and how much she was struggling work the front of house on her own, whilst being pulled from pillar to post being asked to take food out to cars waiting for they're orders. I asked the lady to sit down and take a minute as she was visibly shaking due to being on shift since 15:00 without a break we arrived at 20:00. This lady suffers with non specific epileptic fits, which can happen anytime, she was clearly in distress but needed her break. I am disgusted to see how your employee was treated, I asked if she had a drink of water to hand and she replied its in the back of house but it will be warm cause there is nowhere to keep they're drinks cool. My honest opinion of my visit to your store today was appalling to customers and concerning to your employees, please could I have response to this, I will be publicising this as this cannot go on. I also asked for a mcflurry only to be told that they have been waiting 3-4 weeks for they're machine to be fixed, in this weather waiting 3-4 weeks for machine to be fixed is...
