Came here for Christmas day lunch, the bar was very busy when we came in which was nice to see as the pub has recently been taken over. Once seated a drinks order was taken, very slow in coming back to us, considering the order was written down when taken, the drinks were still wrong. No Guinness or any other stout there, only 1 bottle of ale, bit poor being Christmas. When booked we was aware there was 2 seating, we booked for the 12pm one. When everyone had arrived and seated the starters come out. Very unorganised and slow as the waitresses didn't know where they were going. 3/4 of us had soup, very nice, hot, lovely flavour. The other person had ham hock terrine which was 80% jelly to ham. Once cleared the bubbly arrived, very nice taste! The mains arrived promptly, 2 turkey and 2 beef, the people who had turkey said it was lovely, great flavour, large portions. The 2 beef, wasn't so good, it was suppose to be beef diabloe, lovely slow cooked, fall to pieces. Far from that, was inedible couldn't even cut it with a knife. So them 2 people had a dinner of vegetables and gravy. When cleared the waitress was made aware of the issue and did nothing to rectify the problem. Dessert came, bought in cheesecake, still semi frozen. Cheese was a very generous portion, even took some home with us. All in all, definitely not work the £69.95 a head price take, was minimal effort in the quality of the food. Understand that it is a new business and their first Christmas but not worth the price. One of the party rang and spoke to the owner, who was going to have a word with the chef and get back to them,...

Situated in a picturesque village the pub looks so welcoming from the road. Car park available front and rear suggests that parking shouldn't be a problem.
A very warm welcome given as I entered by the ambience, the gentleman who I am assuming to be the owner and the waitress. Unlike a lot of pubs the Millers Arms allows for a good space between tables. You could sit anywhere and not feel penned in. The seating available is suitable for all, big, regular or small.
The menu was explained to me clearly, as was the specials on offer. A good selection of starters and main courses available so there should be something for everyone. The prices vary but I would say there is something for just about any budget.
Service was great and I did not have to wait long for anything. I was more than happy with the price paid for the quality of service and food.
All in all I am so glad I tried this establishment and will definitely be calling in again. I have a feeling it will be a lot busier in the evening, especially Sundays, but I'm sure a warm welcome and a hearty meal...
Read moreA roomy and light eating area with a good mixture of meals to choose from. Before choosing to eat here we were looking through menus of what the alternative pubs were offering and the menus were standard with pub classics nothing new that made me want to go there. We then come across the menu at the millers and found that there are menu options that we had just not seen anywhere else. The choice of meals was good and they have specials for certain nights of the week, but the Pork Valentine drew me to this pub. The eating area was spaced out, I am sure they could additional tables in there but that would spoil the feeling of space. The restaurant area had pleasant natural light and was clean. The food lived up to expectations and was plentiful and we really enjoyed the evening there. Outside had a big wooden hut, but everyone was sitting out in the sun. The outside seating was a little dated and could do with a refresh. There is also an unsupervised play area...
