Having previously given this place 5☆, I've no option than to reduce that to a 1☆ review after today's visit.

Ordered what was supposed to be a vegetable soup and what came out was what I can only describe as a congealed curry with hardly any trace of any vegetables.

Mixed grill was completely inedible, everything tasted of old grease, mushrooms were vile and still raw in the middle. The meat was either so overcooked it was like leather, or swimming in grease from the chips and mushrooms that it all tasted the same. Only thing he managed to eat off the entire plate was a sausage and an egg.

All the chips on kids meals were black ⚫️ and tasted of old chip fat. The ones on the mixed grill were also black, and surprisingly dry whilst also being greasy, I didn't even know that was possible.

When we asked to complain, the manager/chef was sent out the kitchen and told us we were wrong.

Such a shame as we've been here so many times before and never had a bad meal but after today will not be returning.

Bad food, and bad customer service.

Edit: hilarious that you instantly blame "tourists" yet we actually live locally and certainly aren't in the game of trying to "rip you off". As you quite rightly pointed out we had a 1 year old baby with us who did drop a few peas on the floor. But as we have visited previously, apologised for the mess previously and even offered to clean up previously, we knew there wouldn't be any issue with a little mess.

We didn't ask once for the money back so take your "footage" to social media. Bullying people who leave honest reviews is just pathetic. Maybe the footage will show how awful the food was.

Seeing as though you have deleted your disgusting reply... I have added a screenshot for people to see how foul mouthed you...

Attended for lunch, restaurant was empty on arrival which was perhaps not a good sign but we decided to try it out. Lunch specials were £15 for 2 main meals, we chose the pies which came with chips and peas. Parents had gammon and chips and ham egg and chips. Food was very poor, pies had been overcooked in a microwave so pastry was as tough as boots couldn’t cut parts of it. Chips had a taste of being cooked in stale oil and peas had not been cooked enough. I didn’t think you could get peas wrong and as there was no one else in the restaurant can’t blame being busy as a reason for poor food. Gammon was cold and the ham strangely was warm and didn’t look great. We were all hungry so ate what we could. No one came to ask if food was ok and when plates were Collected we wasn’t asked either. I told the waitress the pies had been overcooked/over microwaved and she advised she would tell the chef. When we came to pay the chef who was also I believe the man behind the bar/ till didn’t once ask it everything was okay and didn’t mention about the food being overcooked. So we paid and left. If the cost had been more I would have been asking for a reduction based on the poor quality food we had but certainly won’t be returning. We had gone after seeing an advert in a local newsletter next time will trust my judgement and if somewhere is empty there’s usually a good reason. Probably one of the worst meals we have had in...

We spent our last night of a weekend getaway in Wales at Misty Waters Bar and Grill, and let me tell you, we hit the jackpot! From the moment we walked in, the staff were as friendly as long-lost relatives (the ones you actually like). But the real showstopper was the chef/server handling the meat. This guy was a one-man comedy act! It was heartwarming to see him serve everyone with a smile and insist on feeding the kids first, then the ladies, and finally the gents—chivalry isn’t dead, folks, it’s alive and well at Misty Waters. His ability to go from booming laughter with the adults to a soft and gentle tone with the kids was nothing short of impressive.

And the food? Let me tell you, this Sunday roast was so good, I nearly proposed to it. I’ve eaten a lot of roasts in my life, but this one took the (Yorkshire) pudding. Holy moly, it was incredible! The portions were generous, the quality was fantastic, and the price didn’t make my wallet cry. To top it all off, they’re dog-friendly, which meant our four-legged family member could enjoy the experience too.

Misty Waters isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a dining adventure. I think I’m still dreaming about that roast. Seriously, if you’re ever in Wales, put this place at the top of your list. You’ll...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We chose Misty Waters Bar & Grill to celebrate the in-laws’ 40th wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and made to feel like valued guests. The food was absolutely delicious – generous portions, beautifully cooked, and incredible value for money. The staff were outstanding, going the extra mile to make the occasion feel special, and their friendly, thoughtful touches really added to the celebration. It’s rare to find a place that gets the food, service, and atmosphere all just right, but Misty Waters did exactly that. A truly memorable meal in a wonderful venue – thank you for helping us make it so special.

So sad to be writing a bad review. I visited here on my hen party and one of my guests were presented with a fly in their food. Although the lady on the bar was lovely very helpful by not charging us for the food and it wasn’t her fault, it made all guests feel uncomfortable eating their food in case anything had touched theirs too. One member of staff was quite defensive about the matter and didn’t apologize either. There is no table service, which in a large group isn’t helpful. Other meals were dry and hard. The room was quiet with no music played. We sadly wouldn’t return.
