Having previously given this place 5â, I've no option than to reduce that to a 1â review after today's visit.
Ordered what was supposed to be a vegetable soup and what came out was what I can only describe as a congealed curry with hardly any trace of any vegetables.
Mixed grill was completely inedible, everything tasted of old grease, mushrooms were vile and still raw in the middle. The meat was either so overcooked it was like leather, or swimming in grease from the chips and mushrooms that it all tasted the same. Only thing he managed to eat off the entire plate was a sausage and an egg.
All the chips on kids meals were black âŤď¸ and tasted of old chip fat. The ones on the mixed grill were also black, and surprisingly dry whilst also being greasy, I didn't even know that was possible.
When we asked to complain, the manager/chef was sent out the kitchen and told us we were wrong.
Such a shame as we've been here so many times before and never had a bad meal but after today will not be returning.
Bad food, and bad customer service.
Edit: hilarious that you instantly blame "tourists" yet we actually live locally and certainly aren't in the game of trying to "rip you off". As you quite rightly pointed out we had a 1 year old baby with us who did drop a few peas on the floor. But as we have visited previously, apologised for the mess previously and even offered to clean up previously, we knew there wouldn't be any issue with a little mess.
We didn't ask once for the money back so take your "footage" to social media. Bullying people who leave honest reviews is just pathetic. Maybe the footage will show how awful the food was.
Seeing as though you have deleted your disgusting reply... I have added a screenshot for people to see how foul mouthed you...
Read moreAttended for lunch, restaurant was empty on arrival which was perhaps not a good sign but we decided to try it out. Lunch specials were ÂŁ15 for 2 main meals, we chose the pies which came with chips and peas. Parents had gammon and chips and ham egg and chips. Food was very poor, pies had been overcooked in a microwave so pastry was as tough as boots couldnât cut parts of it. Chips had a taste of being cooked in stale oil and peas had not been cooked enough. I didnât think you could get peas wrong and as there was no one else in the restaurant canât blame being busy as a reason for poor food. Gammon was cold and the ham strangely was warm and didnât look great. We were all hungry so ate what we could. No one came to ask if food was ok and when plates were Collected we wasnât asked either. I told the waitress the pies had been overcooked/over microwaved and she advised she would tell the chef. When we came to pay the chef who was also I believe the man behind the bar/ till didnât once ask it everything was okay and didnât mention about the food being overcooked. So we paid and left. If the cost had been more I would have been asking for a reduction based on the poor quality food we had but certainly wonât be returning. We had gone after seeing an advert in a local newsletter next time will trust my judgement and if somewhere is empty thereâs usually a good reason. Probably one of the worst meals we have had in...
Read moreWe spent our last night of a weekend getaway in Wales at Misty Waters Bar and Grill, and let me tell you, we hit the jackpot! From the moment we walked in, the staff were as friendly as long-lost relatives (the ones you actually like). But the real showstopper was the chef/server handling the meat. This guy was a one-man comedy act! It was heartwarming to see him serve everyone with a smile and insist on feeding the kids first, then the ladies, and finally the gentsâchivalry isnât dead, folks, itâs alive and well at Misty Waters. His ability to go from booming laughter with the adults to a soft and gentle tone with the kids was nothing short of impressive.
And the food? Let me tell you, this Sunday roast was so good, I nearly proposed to it. Iâve eaten a lot of roasts in my life, but this one took the (Yorkshire) pudding. Holy moly, it was incredible! The portions were generous, the quality was fantastic, and the price didnât make my wallet cry. To top it all off, theyâre dog-friendly, which meant our four-legged family member could enjoy the experience too.
Misty Waters isnât just a place to eat; itâs a dining adventure. I think Iâm still dreaming about that roast. Seriously, if youâre ever in Wales, put this place at the top of your list. Youâll...
