Richard and Iola Huws own and have run this vineyard since 2007. It has 9 acres of vines and 18 acres of apple trees on the slopes of Dyffryn Nanttle. They have quite an array of products - wine, cider, apple juice, spring water and honey. Their meals were very tasty and worth every single penny and more. They served Welsh red wine that was light and airy. The food was delicious as staff so friendly I almost gave everyone a hug after my meal. The best time to visit the vineyard and orchard is between May and October. Richard will teach you about the history of Dyffryn Nanttle and talk through the varieties of vines and apple trees there. One key note is that Pant Du is Wales' first solar powered Vineyard and Orchard with 44 solar panels.

Wow! What a spectacular experience! We travelled all the way from Liverpool to experience a vineyard, I couldn’t believe there was a vineyard in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿! The location was fantastic! The area was large and spacious not to mention very clean! The indoor and outdoor seating was amazing so many seating areas to choose from! The menu had a wide selection of food and the drinks are obviously well known! The weather was beautiful when we came and we found it a very good experience. We spoke to the owner and he was so friendly and took the time to get to know us etc. Very reasonably priced and very well made! Marie was our host and she did a tremendous job so friendly and loving! Thankyou all would love to come back!

We cannot thank the amazing staff at Pant Du for such a special afternoon yesterday to help celebrate a work colleagues 60th birthday with a delicious afternoon tea. The service from the initial booking and throughout has been faultless, for a large group of 38 all the dietary requirements that we had were catered for and the day ran smoothly with everyone commenting how attentive and helpful the staff were throughout. I found the whole experience from the initial enquiry to yesterday’s meal absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend Pant Du for any future functions Diolch pawb ! Michele

Well what a wonderful experience we had today at Pant Du. From the moment we arrived at 10.15 we were greeted by friendly, polite, helpful team members who started our morning off with a lovely hot coffee and toast! Then we met Richard for our tour, what a star...polite enthusiastic, emotional gentleman who told us the story of his and his families journey over the years to achieve what they now have at Pant Du. You should all be very proud. The views, the orchard and vineyard were all fab finishing with water tasting(which tasted so good...it was water)!! Also some wine and cider tasting. Then we had booked lunch, the 4 of us had panninis and quiche all served with crunchy salad and then we couldn't resist puds, chocolate brownies yummy. Each team member who looked after us had a genuine smile on their face and were friendly and helpful. What a wonderful job Richard and family have done in putting this truly super little team together....'magic' is the best word to describe our experience. Thank you one and all. (I have just read previous review posted slating how the young team members are being treated, what a load of stupid, unnecessary waffle this person has posted) go and try for yourself you won't be...

With wonderful views, Pant Du is in a prime location. It is such a shame that the food doesn't quite meet the expectations of such a venue. On the lunchtime menu there appeared various fillings served with a tortilla wrap. My son had a very disappointing deconstructed wrap served with an equally disappointing salad. Why deconstruct a simple wrap? I had a gluten free toasted cheese sandwich. The bread smelt awful and was accompanied by a basic side salad and coleslaw. The cheese was still uncooked, and the salad hadn't any dressing. I've had so much better at other cafes in the local area.

I feel annoyed as I've eaten a number of times at Pant Du Vineyard and have been consistently disappointed by the lack of care and imagination with the food, with exception of the cakes which are homemade and extremely good. The service is also really good, where the staff are both attentive and friendly. All it would take is a bit more attention and imagination with the food, and a wonderful time would...

Extremely disappointed, booked weeks in advance for an afternoon tea for a baby shower and had given plenty of notice and instruction of dietary requirements. When the vegan afternoon tea platter came out I was shocked to see two triangles of read had a single tomato between them and the other tow some lettuce and lumps of cucumer a further small wrap had lettuve and onion and then on the side... More salad! No sauce or dressing, not even mayo. Now this day and age that is not acceptable as a vegan option and to charge £12 for it! When i emailed to say i was dissapointed I was ignored and had to message the lady i booked with who then passed a message back from the kitchen stating thet they had served a vegan before who said that a tomato was better than fake meat and sorry that they had listened to them?! .. That's literally not the only options for vegans! Cmon! Very unprofessional and uneducated. And no offer of a sorry...
