A lovely Sunday lunch at Picton House Hotel on 9th July. Great range of starters, mains and puds. Our group of four had home made mushroom soup, pulled pork Bon Bon’s, panko breaded prawns and pate to start followed by roast pork and lamb Sunday dinner. Veg was plentiful and included creamed leek, red cabbage, green beans, carrots, roast parsnip, swede, mash and roast potatoes and broccoli. Also pigs in blankets and Yorkshire pud Covered in a very tasty gravy. Only two of us managed a pudding (crème brûlée and lemon and ginger panacotta) as we were full from main meal. The staff are very helpful and efficient and the hotel is tastefully decorated and includes a lovely outdoor seating courtyard where we finished off our G & T’s before heading home. A great little find just off the main road west to Pembrokeshire.

Beautiful setting for an afternoon tea , we sat out side to have a drink before being shown to our very well presented table. Ordered our pot of tea and coffee, the food came out on beautiful home made vintage tea stands. Macaroons, brownies, mini Victoria sponges , fruit tartlets , beautifully fresh scones with jam & cream finished off with a beautiful homemade tiramisu. On a large board we had 4 sandwiches each . smoked salmon & cream cheese , egg mayo , ham & tomatoes , chicken mayo. All made on soft fresh bread . Definitely a lovely treat and we really enjoyed . Highly reccomended 🥰. I will definitely be booking in for the next one , maybe with a bottle of prossecco next time .

Stayed overnight on the way to Tenby. What a lovely hotel. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. It is a listed building full of old and modern decor. Lovely lounge to relax in and also a bar with an excellent variety of spirits draft and bottle beers, lagers, and ciders. The breakfast was excellent, full English or the option to mix it up. Bowl of mixed fruit on table, yogurt pots, cereals, fruit juice, tea or coffee, and if that wasn't enough we were offered warm Danish pastries. The host Holly was superb made you feel welcome and could not do enough for you. Would highly recommend this place for an overnight stay or longer.

This gem of a Boutique Hotel is situated just off the A40 near St Clears. With a Gentleman's residence appearance, this propoerty has kept its character throughout. We were greeted with friendliness and warmth from the start. The owners, Gareth and Holly, are fully hands on and their staff are equally welcoming. ||We had the Towy Room, which can be Kingsize or Twin. Used by us as a Twin, the beds were very comfortable with excellent bed linen and wonderful pillows. We were in the area during the first week of September and the weather was particularly mild, so we were very glad that the heating was off and so we slept comfortably. The bathroom has an over the bath shower with a very good head.||Although on a B road, there was no traffic noise at night and the gentle sound of the river, flowing through the woodland across the road, was lovely. We slept with the curtains and window open. I also saw a fox strolling along the road in the early hours on my way to the ensuite.| |The breakfasts, cooked and served by the owners, was excellent. I can highly recommend the Welsh Breakfast with cockles and laver bread!||We had our evening meals there as well, again with excellent choices and very reasonably priced. The cooking is shared between Holly and their chef. ||In the courtyard of the property are very comfortable outside seating and eating areas. The owners are converting the outbuidings to provide further accommodation, but none of this disturbed our stay.||The car park is next to the Hotel and...

We are a family of 6, holidaying in the local area. One of our number had an imminent 70th birthday and so we decided on booking a prosecco afternoon tea to celebrate the occasion. We had a challenge arranging taxis to get us to the venue whuch sadly made us a little late. The hotel had a mix up with bookings and were surprised to see us. Happily the professional team swung into gear and we were all sat down with coffee while everything was resolved. The team were marvelous, the tea itself really impressive and delicious (including being able to provide a fully vegan option). The provision of lovely china, and classy furniture made the whole experience really memorable. We had so much food that we had to have two boxes to carry home all that we could not manage at the time. A tray with extra goodies with a very powerful candle was brought out for the birthday girl along with a powerful rendition of 'happy birthday'. The staff absolutely bent over backwards nothing was too much trouble, the Hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and we would not hesitate to recommend this venue. You will not be...
