Plough — Restaurant in Wales

I occasionally attend this location for a Sunday Carvery as they Do really nice ones normally but most of the time I get a Carvery Delivered stright to my Door without any problems until today 7/8/2022 where the price of £35 Just for myself was not the issue and Didn't mind paying it but I Did infact expect a lot more from them in terms of Quality, plus this had never happened before so put it Down as a 1 off before I made my call to Bounce my concerns, I was first initially met with ignorance and Dimness from whoever I first spoke to but all that changed however when I was passed over to Ellie who was so professional in every sense of the word. She couldn't apolagise enough on the ploughs behalf even though it wasn't Directly her fault, yet she took full responsibility and even invited me to the plough in person to resolve my issue face to face, which I gratefully excepted and upon my arrival Ellie took complete control with a friendly smile then Did exactly what she said she was goin to Do without any hesitation wotsoever. She was true to her word and I left happy and content that I had been listened to and Believed. A party of 8 of us attended for a Meal.It was a slow service because the poor girl was on her own behind the bar. It also turned out as well as having to run the bar singlehanded. She was also taking the food orders and waiting on and also clearing off the tables as well as cashing up.. I think She deserves a medal,while the manager wants a firing squad. Most of my friends were happy enough with their meals.I did not get off so Lucky Lol. Steak was medium rare,no new potatoes so had to have chips.no onion rings on my steak,had to go to bar.no bread and butter pud so had fudge cake,As for custard,it was hidden some where at bottom of the jug. I wouldn't bother to complain because I felt so sorry for the girl. Equally I would not bother to waste my money going back...

I visited last night with my partner, they still have the same attentive and efficient staff, but the place has had a make over, which makes it feel more modern and bright. They must have a new chef too, as it is no longer really good pub grub, it is restaurant standard food, very well presented. This is definitely a great improvement on what was already good before. I had halloumi starter, Dorris had king prawns, both were faultless. I can not spell the main meal i had but it was a chicken and rice dish that tasted so much better than it sounds, and Dorris went for the jalapeño burger, which again was very pleasing.
