I've been coming to the Cafe for a few years now but last christmas I won their generous Give Away of Afternoon tea for 4! I took my parents along and my littlest daughter and they were happy for my daughter to come along instead of a 4th adult.
Anytime I visit Poppy's they are friendly, generous and always happy to help. The place is always tidy with a great atmosphere. The food is always superb, fresh, homemade and beautifully presented. Can't ever find a fault. If you have left overs they're happy to supply a box to take bits home! The cakes... amazing, every single time. Personal fav is the Raspberry & Lemon Cake and the Banoffee Pie i have managed to have the once so far lol!
Thank you for always being welcoming Can't wait to see...

Needless to say, while this manager works here, this place wont see me again and I hope others...

What if Gran wants to come here for her 96th birthday, all eleven of us, or both my grandson and granddaughter want to have their birthdays here? "Can we go to Poppy's", is the frequent refrain. Eat inside or on the garden, it's very relaxing. The staff are amazing, very hard working, very friendly and always willing to accommodate, with most Welsh speaking. A word of caution. The meals are excellent... but huge, with copious vegetables. I'm not going to mention dessert. Below you'll find an image of the humble Victoria Sponge, and what we know as the "Snicker"...
