Called in for some lunch with our doggies and sat outside. My partner made the order inside where he said it felt a little awkward and chaotic but friendly enough. Food arrived quickly and looked yummy although we both noted how neither of our meals had the peas and coleslaw as stated on the menu, this was confirmed as it was read back out to my partner when ordering. We tucked in and chose not to question as we didn't want to cause a fuss. Shortly after, our new rescue doggie became a little unsettled and began barking, as I'm sure you can imagine we were worried the barking would upset others enjoying the area and did our best to help him settle and followed the instructions given by our trainer..he settled with a few barks here and there. When he let out a few barks during our a meal , an employee took it upon themselves to walk over to our dog and ask what was going on (to one of our dogs, not us) which made our dog then bark at the stranger who approached him in a irate manor. The employee then continued to make it worse as he waved his hands around and said NO to our as our dog as he barked at him. Once the employee finally realised he was causing our dog to bark he stepped away, only to look at our dog from a distance. This further unsettled our new rescue dog who is trying to make new positive experiences in life and completely went against the training we have been doing. I only question why an employee would find it appropriate to abruptly walk over to someone's unsettled dog when they are clearly giving instructions to them. Additionally to go close to their dog and give their own different instructions during their meal and to not speak to the humans at all. We quickly ate the remainder of our meal, when the employee approached again to collect our plates (while we still had our mouths full) and created small talk and apologised for not asking how our day was, not for the incident with our dogs. Our dogs sat quietly, and then scuttled away with what felt like eyes burning in...

Terrible experience – avoid this place at all costs!

We came here today and ordered fish and chips, but what we got was absolutely awful. The fish was clearly frozen, the chips were frozen too – not even a pinch of salt. Just thrown on the plate with no care whatsoever.

For coffee, I was handed a cup and told to make it myself by pressing a button on a coffee machine in the back – completely unprofessional. The place was dirty, especially the toilets – absolutely disgusting.

The man at the counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. After a customer in front of me left, he made a nasty comment saying that the person “always causes problems” – loudly, in front of everyone. We tried to make polite conversation and asked where he was from, and he sarcastically replied, “from the moon.” He kept complaining about how busy it was and how much he hates bank holidays – clearly not someone who should work in customer service.

When we told him the fish was bad, he offered to refund just £2.50 – a complete insult. This place is a joke.

Avoid this place – dirty, rude staff, terrible food, and zero...

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

The customer service was terrible, and the owner, who is Turkish, was unfortunately very rude. I ordered a double espresso, which he charged me for upfront, but failed to mention that he didn’t have a proper espresso machine. Instead, he used an automatic machine that couldn’t make espresso and served me a weak Americano, claiming it was a double espresso. It was absolutely not what I ordered, yet he still charged £5 for it.

The food was just as disappointing. The fish, which the owner claimed was fresh, appeared to be frozen and was simply dropped in a fryer — it came out soggy, oily, and unpleasant. The overall food quality was very poor.

The waiter complained that he hated bank holidays because it gets too busy, and that showed — the service was inattentive and rushed. I had to repeatedly ask for basic things like cutlery, salt, and pepper. When I raised these concerns, the owner dismissed me and even called me a “trouble boy.”

It honestly felt like they were aiming for a one-star review. Avoid this place — it deserves nothing more...

I'd highly recommend coming here, the place is run by a hard working man staffing the counter and kitchen, he's quick to the point as he's busy but is a charm to be around. The food is lovely and the Café charming and welcoming. So much so that we were half way through the chips before taking a photo! The toilet is by the front entrance, so is easy to walk past without noticing. The Café also has free parking in the rear for customers, a beverage fridge, an ice cream fridge and small assortment of necessities like body wash. As well as having seafront views, including the hills in the distance.
