Food was lovely. Had a lovely beef burger. Cost around £11. Give you plenty of chips which is great. Was disappointed with the starter. £5.29 for the smallest bowl of popcorn chicken with 2, yes 2, chicken tenders. Should just bought another full meal really, only would’ve been another £4. Food took a fair amount of time to come but I didn’t mind as the football was on. Would’ve been annoying if it wasn’t. One thing that was a bit annoying, I ordered 3 pints of Pepsi Max, and they didn’t fill any of them to the top. Staff were lovely. Very friendly.

Such a lovely welcome. Guy behind the bar chatted to me straight away despite me not being a local. The beer I had was lovely and cold and I got to enjoy it in a large beer garden looking out over fields and hills. There was a children's play area. And a separate place for people to eat that doesn't allow smoking. Would recommend if passing through

First time through the doors for a long time. Staff are pleasant and welcoming and very attentive to wheelchair user in our group. The only negative was the food portions. After eating at another pub in the same group, the amount of food served was significantly less than the other pub. Also my steak pie appeared to pre-cooked not homemade.

My daughter and I recently attended the RedLion for a meal at short notice, and were pleasantly surprised at the warm reception which we received. The bar was relatively quiet for the time and the day. We went to the bar and placed our order, which was served quite briskly ......the steak, with side salad and trimmings, and a similar burger without the roll, as my daughter is allergic to bread Half way through our meal we were approached by three fellow diners, who made themselves known,...................old friends who had moved from the area, more than twenty years previously, So the Red did us proud, out of the blue , and pink with embarrassment ,we enjoyed a golden evening and the food...

We visited this place yesterday and the staff weren't very helpful , the young girl came back to go back over our order and even then when the food finally arrived it was wrong. We waited a long time for the food even though it was quiet and the worst part was the drinks hadn't been put on the bill, to be fair we hadn't noticed and then once we had paid and left my uncle had 9 missed calls for him to come back and pay for the drinks. I found this very rude as it's not our fault they were not on there and its the mistake of the staff but to ring several times off mobiles and off landline is just out of order. It was a booking of 8 and we were all disappointed. We will not be...

Great local pub, have lived in the village for many years and recently moved from the area, but always return. The menu is outstanding got choice affordable dishes. Great for a light lunch or an evening meal. The landlady is extremely friendly and made us feel valued as a customer. The team are more than happy to help with any thing we need. Loved the fact I can take my dog with me. Great outdoor space. Love the new extension garden room and the roof opens when the weather is warm. Great selection of lagers and ciders. Juke box rocking out some great tunes.all in all a great ambience looking forward to a...
