My family stayed in a cottage nearby, and we booked in for a Sunday lunch. The food was spectacular, with a wide variety of vegetables in very healthy sized portions. I'm not a big meat eater so the chef made me some of the nicest vegetarian sausages I have tasted. So full of flavour! My son is very fussy eater but they had kids meals on, so he had his favourite chicken nuggets & chips. We also had starters of home made soup, which was absolutely to die for! The drinks choices behind the bar were great, a wide variety to suit everyone and the staff were all so kind & attentive. The best part though, was the fact the pub was dog friendly. We saw some lovely dogs, chilling in the pub and relaxing with their humans. It was the perfect countryside vibe! We would all 100% go back and visit again. We were warmly welcomed even though we're not from the area and as we were a large family group of 9 we were easily accommodated. Although the dining area was small we still all manage to fit in and the food was spectacular, fish aside, the burgers were amazingly prepared and all hand cooked by our host who couldn't do enough for us , and of course was delicious.
