Here is a polished and enthusiastic review you could post for the Roast Ox Inn: ⸻ We stayed at the Roast Ox Inn for one night as part of our Freerein horse riding trip and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The real highlight was the food. It was easily some of the best pub food I have had in a long time. The menu had something for everyone perfectly roasted lamb, delicious vegetarian lasagne, classic fish and chips, an incredible burger, and the most moreish beer battered brie. Pudding was just as impressive and every dish came in generous portions. A true gem of a place that combines genuine hospitality with outstanding food. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning.

I discovered this inn during a challenging cycling trip through Wales. Upon my late arrival, I was touched to find a sandwich and milk waiting in my room - a simple gesture that meant everything at that moment. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room spacious, quiet and perfectly clean. Breakfast was excellent, setting me up perfectly for another day of cycling. What truly stood out, though, was the genuine warmth of the staff. Their kindness went beyond typical hospitality, making me feel truly welcome despite my disheveled state. The village and surrounding area are peaceful and picturesque. While my stay was brief, I'm already planning a return visit to properly explore the area.

I was recommended this pub for dinner by a local, & I’m SO glad they did. Firstly, they were very friendly & welcoming, but not intrusive. The food here was absolutely fabulous. I had the roast lamb which was stunning; Melt in the mouth & so tasty, along with the recommended wine, which was the best house wine I think I’ve ever had. I took my equally delicious desert outside to enjoy the warm evening.

Some of the staff was Lovley and others not very welcoming or chatty maybe because we was a younger couple 🤷‍♂️ Sunday dinner was ok The veg was underdone the gravy was very thin and not very nice it tasted like granules. and the roasties tasted frozen but the meats was good god and the cauliflower cheese was very nice

We both had the apple crumble and all I can say is don’t bother its was very sour and the left your mouth with grease from all the butter they’ve slapped in it We had 1 mouth full each and refused to eat it. And just got told that everyone else likes it with no apology

I’m a chef and I would of refused to send anything that was...
