Updated review 2024 Visited a few times over the past year since my initial review. But stopped as the service was just too slow even for a laid back café. All the fun Flying Tiger games on the tables had been stacked away at the back, and for me, the place didn't maintain it's initial good first impression. We ended up making an unplanned stop for lunch, and are glad to have given this place another go! Yes, the service was still slow - but friendly. And the new items we tried off the updated menu were great. (Chicken tacos & spinach crêpes). The children's fish goujons were also well made (light batter and fresh fish) and the option to have it served with a salad over baked beans, was a nice touch. 🥬
Old review 2023 Absolutely fantastic place! We walked in on a busy Saturday lunchtime without a booking, requesting for a table for 5, and they were lovely and accomodating. Staff were warm and friendly, atmosphere was great, and the food was fantastic - all home cooked, tasty and well presented. Will have to come back after learning they reopen in the evening for tapas! I was charmed by the Flying Tiger crockery, the thoughtful and quirky touches e.g. the games on the tables - (our children loved playing with the dominoes), and the fact that they do a proper chai latte - which is a rare thing! Thank you. Our party had a really lovely time at...

We were offered food on the basis that we ordered from what could only be described as a child's menu, or perhaps a menu they only reserve for common folk. With that said, 5 minutes later a couple walk in & are promptly seated at the front of the restaurant & are handed the full-menu containing a plethora of food options. I can only assume that it was xenophobic discrimination or classist discrimination, regardless our experience was demeaning & we all left...
Read moreAs you can imagine this place is very popular on a sunny Sunday at lunch time but despite not taking any more bookings we got a seat relatively quickly when we arrived!
The coffee was great, we were intrigued by the special of Korean Chicken Flatbread with skinny fries and Asian slaw and I’m so glad we both went for this! I was not expecting it to be that tasty and fresh. The bread was lovely, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce and slaw were great! Prices aren’t bad here either, the full Welsh breakfast looked amazing and I think it’s less than £10/£12.
Nice selection of cakes and milkshakes.
Service was friendly, the toilet was clean. There’s outdoor seating too.
We would absolutely return if we were...
