Steak and Stamp — Restaurant in Wales

Another lovely steak dinner at Steak&Stamp! We arrived on time ( parking IS a bit tricky to be honest ( but worth it!)) but we arrived on time regardless of parking difficulties but our table wasn’t quite ready so we were shown to their little pub, it didn’t look too promising as we walked in, but turned out wonderful! A table of older gentlemen playing guitars and singing Christmas carrols, with bell ringing and whistles it was fabulous totally loved it! We were called to eat after about ten minutes.. I would've happily stayed longer soaking up the happy atmosphere of the pub! Five of us were eating and so we were seated in one of the ”summer-houses” outside. Sounds like that could be a bit chilly in November but not at all, they are very cosy and were all plenty warm enough. As there were five of us, we ordered the steak banquet and an 8oz fillet steak for my youngest daughter just so we would have enough to feel like a proper banquet…. Realistically we didn’t need the fillet steak meal as there was more than enough food to go round and we couldn’t finish it all despite our best efforts! It was all delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection, all the sides are hot and tasty! The staff are so, so lovely. They make you feel like nothing is too much trouble. Great guys! Last time we went there there was no Worcestershire Sauce (which was disappointing but not unusual nowadays!) We were going to bring a bottle with us ( but forgot) but it was lovely to find they actually have a bottle there now!( Steak is always better with Worcestershire sauce! )I feel that they noted something they were asked for and didn’t have and so they made sure to have it for next time. We appreciated that. The meal was lovely. Top notch! We loved it and we are already booked in to go do it all again between Christmas...

What a Steak experience. There were 5 of us so we booked a dining shed out the back. This will comfortably sit 6 people, you can close the door and have privacy. There is a heater if you require and a speaker playing background music. 5 people in our party. We had ordered the Steak & Stamp Banquet which is advertised for 4 people but would easily feed 6 (you can order extra sides if you want). The banquet was £120 (at time of writing) and included 10oz Ribeye, 10oz Rump, 20ox Tomahawk, 20oz Chateaubriand, chunky chips, dirty fries, sweet potato fries, garlic mushrooms, cabbage&bacon, onion rings, garlic bread (2ciabatta loaves), stilton sauce, peppercorn sauce and garlic sauce. The food was lovely, the chateau steak was the nicest steak I have ever had ( you can get chateaubriand as a sharer for 2 with 2 sides and 2 sauces). I tried a Porter Ale with my meal and it was really nice. The atmosphere being in a private "shed" was good, there is a railway line behind but this didn't distract from the good company we had. All in all, we have a great evening, the service was top notch (you have a service button if you need more beers etc), everyone said how great the food was. Thank you so much Steak & Stamp for a wonderful celebration evening for my daughter's & Sons partners Graduations. I think my wife and I will be back soon for a sharer for 2. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Steak & Stamp Restaurant to anyone. They are expanding and also do takeaway. We have been meaning to book here for a good while as we had heard amazing things ( been following and drooling over Insta pictures for months 😅) Finally went last night and it did not disappoint at all!!! Welcomed with a friendly face as soon as we entered. The atmosphere was amazing and cosy and a great music playlist too! We had our drinks order taken by a lovely and polite young boy and then as we were the last table booked in we were offered a bigger table when a party left. ( Wine was amazing and really good value for money too!) The chef is a one woman show and cooks everything on her own and doesn’t even break a sweat! Wonder Woman! Even though there was a little bit of a wait for food it was amazing just to absorb the atmosphere with a glass of wine and not feel rushed like you do sometimes in other restaurants! When the platter for two came I’ve never seen my partner’s face light up so much 😂 He has been waiting for this day for ages!! We are massive foodies and this is the BEST steak we have ever eaten!!!😍😍 The garlic mushrooms and the garlic bread were delicious and the steak was like cutting butter ( medium). We had been planning dessert but after finishing the platter we were stuffed but we were offered to take dessert home which was such a lovely gesture!
