A lovely family run pub, friendly staff, popular with locals and visitors, there is always at least one well kept real ale on, they even have the football on TV. The food is all cooked in house, real not oven chips, very healthy portions. One time, not knowing when the food stopped, we asked if we could get some chips. They had stopped an hour earlier, but they went back put the fryer back on, and out came some chips. The only thing that would be nice, would be some veggie options, it would be lovely if they did a veggie breakfast, and it's not hard to have some quorn sausages in the back of the freezer, or have egg, beans and chips, or a even a cheese sandwich...
Read moreAs English visitors (with a dog) to a Welsh speaking area we were a bit nervous as to how we would be accepted but we did not need to worry. The staff were very friendly, had no problem with us bringing our dog in with us and the food was served remarkably quickly bearing in mind there was 8 of us. It was also really lovely food and nothing was left on our plates. We visited twice in a short stay and would definitely recommend a visit to anyone...
