4 keen walkers stopped off for a drink and food at this fantastically situated pub on the beach that has an unusual history and story but that's for you to find out. Our visit was on a sunny windy September day. The sky was blue. The sea blue. Boats bobbing on the water. The beach clean and easy paddling. So all idealic and lovely as we.sat outside relaxing. It's the kind of place you can fee temporarily free of the world's woes. The pub itself is quite small but cosy. Lots of homely touches and a young hipster crew serving drinks and food. All ages welcome including children. Dogs also welcome and large bowks of water are available for them. A good selection of drinks available and the beer was excellent. We liked that the drinks menu with prices was prominantly displayed on the bar. Public conveniences are available outside. Customers need to be aware that there are u even steps from the beach and steps into the pub. The sitting/dining area is compact, although quite a few people sat on the beach wall and or the beach itself. The food menu has some good choices including a children's menu, although not so much choice for gluten free. The pub prides itself on being a chip free pub. However the food was distinctly average and flavourless and in our group comprised of a chilli con carne dish, tuna sandwich and jacket potato with cheese costing £23. Overall we are glad we took the time to visit this very unique spot and would visit again but next time drinks, views and vibe...

V busy this August, but service is excellent as always.

The outside service bar has been upgraded and ice creams etc now have their own service area /beach hut.

Toilets are always remarkably clean, for such a busy beach bar, maybe in need of renovation, but would possible loose their fisherman friendly charm.

Disabled and pram access is good here, its an ambitious trek across the golf course but many make it look easy.

Food has had a revamp with a new menu and a service system involving a hand held loud speaker, which seems to have drastically reduced the wait for food. A huge improvement on the hopefuly soon to be redundant, ' Take this flag, sit somewhere on the beach and as Liam Neeson said 'I will find you,' system.

The stepped path from the main car park is currently closed, so park near the entrance if you can.

The Beach walk is 20 min with a 4 yr old and involves a bit of off roading during high tides.

The golf course is 25 - 30 mins and much easier under foot.

Views are stunning.

Have a walk to the lifeboat...

Came here for a pub lunch with my family and had a genuinely lovely experience. The setup is straightforward, you order your drinks at the bar and food at the counter.

I started with a refreshing half pint of IPA, and for food, I had the goat’s cheese and red onion chutney panini, plus the prawns in a baguette (shared with my mum). The portions were generous, and both dishes came with a side of crisps and salad. While the salad was fairly basic, it was what you'd expect for a pub lunch.

The panini was delicious, they didn’t hold back on the creamy goat’s cheese, and it paired beautifully with the sweet tang of the red onion chutney. The prawn baguette had a tasty, well-balanced sauce, and the prawns, though small, were full of flavour. What really made the experience, though, was the view, it was absolutely stunning! We sat outside and couldn’t stop admiring the scenery. I’d come back just for that. Also the staff working were really friendly! Highly recommend if you're after good food, pub drinks and...

One of the most beautiful places I've visited with views out across the bay that really do take your breath away. Whoever came up with the idea to put a pub here is a hero in my book. It's cute and quirky and perfect. Great beer selection and lovely food. You can take both into the beach, which was really handy as we were with the kids. A few tables outside but these, as you can imagine, are prime seating. Parking is a fair walk away via the Nefyn Golf Club, but when that view opens up at the end, it's worth it. You can park either next to the golf club car park, which is about 10 minute walk or so to the beach, or you can park further back down the hill leading up to the golf club at the National Trust car park. This car park has steps that bring you out at the other end of the beach near the rockpools, but it's about the same walk time. This is step access only I think whereas the other route is all road and path, so better for trolleys and wheelchairs etc

Stunning!!!!!!! Its location is to die for ! Can definitely understand why it's ranked in the top 10 coastal bars/pubs. Inside the pub is quirky with allsorts dangling from the ceiling and local history info regarding the pubs lifespan which was interesting to read. Busy place but the staff nailed the service to a tee! We ordered the ty coch chilli wild rice dish with nachos which successfully fed us both! And was really wholesome tasty dish. The immediate area/bay/cove is a sight for sore eyes. Nice gentle shoreline easy to wade in n out of the waters edge. Seating in and outside plus everyone sits along the walls. Everyone was chatting to one another the whole day such a good vibe. We don't usually return to many places as we love finding new gems but this is one we will 100% return to in the near future! Massive love for this place!
