This tastefully and recently refurbished pub is well laid out. With multiple TV's for sports TV and a beer garden at the rear. There was a great choice of classic pub meals including fish, burgers, steak, scampi, ham egg and chips, lasagne etc. We had an amazing burger served with coleslaw, onion rings and very tasty fries. The Scampi is delicious served with lemon and tartare sauce, chunky chips and a choice of garden or mushy peas. We asked could the grandchildren have sausage and fries which was not on the menu and we were not disappointed the grandchildren loved their meals. Highly recommend a visit. We will be back no doubt. Revisited 2024,pre booked a table for 5. Great food & service Ham, Egg and Chips, along with Son of a Gun Burger and Scampi. The grandchildren loved the pizzas and fries on the children's menu. Specials menu was available as well as the main menu. Thanks again.❤️

Great place for a spot of lunch and drinks. Lovely staff and prompt service with nice food. Plenty of space inside and out. Good price and good portions and nice views. The roast pork and stuffing with apple sauce baguette come with a little bowl of roast potatoes and a pot of gravy was lovely too. Really enjoyed the starters of onions rings and salt and chilli chicken strips.

Visited for lunch, rang at the last minute and got a table for 6 adults and 3 children. Drink orders were taken very quickly and food orders shortly after. All food was freshly cooked and most importantly served hot. Kids pizza looked to be home made rather than a frozen pizza heated up. All adults chose from the lunch menu, sandwiches or baguettes and sharing a bowl of chips between 2 as really good portion sizes. A liked touch was plastic beakers available for kids for squash, alot of places only offer half pint glasses. The staff were also happy for us to split the bill, each paying individually at the bar. A...

Popping in here for lunch after Green Man festival was definitely the right choice! The pub is inviting and nicely decorated with a friendly atmosphere, the staff are absolutely lovely, the food was delicious (both meaty and veggie lasagnes were so cheesy with perfect consistency and the side salad was fresh), good prices, spotless toilets (with decent toilet paper - a rarity!), and there's a free car park just a couple of minutes walk away. We'll definitely visit again when passing...
