An amazing find. Many years ago we tried the pub opposite and were shocked at the appalling customer service we received. We decided to give it another try today in the hope that the old land lady had retired but upon arrival we were bluntly informed that they were not opening for another half an hour despite Google listing their opening times as 12. On walking back to the car we noticed another pub across the road and decided to give it a try. This turned out to be the correct decision. The Butchers is run by a very freindly land lady that greeted us and showed us to our table. Her staff promptly took our order and drinks arrived in minutes. When taking our food order the waitress was accompanied by another employee on her first day learning the ropes. The service we received from these two young ladies was exemplary and a credit to the land lady. We will certainly be visiting again and will recommend it to all of our friends.
