Bitterly disappointed. Having been recommended this place I had high expectations but was left unsatisfied. Service was okay and food arrived at a decent pace but over all the food was extremely bland. The veg was under cooked and cold, the roast potatoes were hard the gravy was like water and really lacked any body to it. t To be honest everything was well below average. Would not recommend for Sunday Lunch

Gravy - very watery lacked any flavor or body.

Beef - tender and the only thing good about the meal

Roasties - hard, tasteless and and insult to call it a roast

Veg - hard cold and bland

Nice website, easy to read menu and details and images of pub. Rang and booked with no problems very friendly lady on phone. Quiet when we arrived , welcomed and showed to a lovely table in fairly small dining area, so as it says on the website advisable to book I would have thought, especially on busy times. Very nice surroundings and very clean. We ordered a different dish each and all 3 were delicious. I had a spectacular beef lasagne with streaky bacon and it was honestly gorgeous! All 3 main courses were between 10.95 and 13.95. Would highly recommend, but hope owners next job will be a spruce up of the toilets. Clean but need a bit of a renovation to match...

We visited yesterday for the 1st time after seeing an offer on a local Facebook page, absolutely amazing in every way. We both had the lasagna & chips with garlic bread and the taste of the home-made lasagna was superb. They also done my daughter gravy & chips which she throughly enjoyed. Great selection of puddings which of course we needed to try after the amazing food and again these home-made beauties didn't disappoint.
