Just had coffee and a toasted teacake at the Cross Keys cafe/restaurant in Llanfyllin. Probably the most accommodating eating house I've ever been in, an ex pub. I asked for a skinny latte but they only use full cream milk. The lady who runs it(I presume) actually went to the shop to buy skimmed milk just for me. She said folk who ask for it are few and far between. She then offered me the rest of the large bottle for free, to take home😊. I asked her to put a donation on my bill instead, which she did but only at my insistence! They do all kinds of food so we'll deffo be going again lol 🤣. The garden is a community one, created by locals and it's gorgeous. There's a large teepee/yurt at the top of the garden where you can sit, as well as benches and soft outdoor garden furniture in the open. It's also a Christian centre on Sundays. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming and easy going. I went in alone and was immediately made welcome.Well...

What a fantastic café here on the high street of Llanfyllin. It is amazing on the inside, warm, cosy, funky, and eclectic with its bright, earthy decor and colour. Makes you feel welcomed and hugged the minute you step inside. My iced coffee was perfect, and my freshly prepared Chicken Coronation sandwich on brown bread was absolutely delicious. There is a good selection of teas, coffees, cakes, sandwiches, and more to cater to everyone's tastes

Highly recommend this gem of a café and thank you to the staff for making my first visit here so memorable...

Visited the cafe today, the coffee was good but the service was disappointing. The man serving behind the counter was grumpy and quite rude, it's not a one off because he's always like it, such a shame because everybody else is friendly. I really don't think he's suitable for a job serving the public, sorry but we won't be...
