Cannot recommend enough. I am vegan and when planning my trip to this area (camping for 3 days) I prepped and packed all my own food as I know it can be tricky to find vegan meals in more remote areas. The menu for Eating Gorilla was displayed in the campsite. I have been here every day of my stay - everything is homemade, there is delicious choice (some tofu, some meat replacement, some whole foods), drinks, cakes, pastries. I can't get over it. Even the brand is fantastic, with a range of local vegan products (such as soaps) for sale, and t shirts for sale which raises money for a gorilla foundation. I love this place so much, food was incredible, staff are delightful. I will be back every time I visit Wales. It is not often you find somewhere that you utterly feel at home, and completely in line. I didn't have my dog with my this trip, but, its dog friendly. Seriously, what more could you want. As mentioned I visited on my own and spent a couple of hours there each day, reading etc (to avoid the storms!) And was made totally comfortable. Thank you for creating such a...
Read moreWe cycled through Wales, south to north, and whilst pretty much anywhere we came across had vegan options on the menu (which was nice) this was the first entirely vegan spot — and it did not disappoint.
The food was absolutely banging — the buffalo cauliflower wings were insane. Chips were also of the highest order. The BLT was on point and so was the flatbread with hummus and roasted veg. We were absolutely stuffed but also had a slice of lemon/blueberry cake that was delicious (the other cake-y bits inside looked as good too!).
Smoothie and slushie were super tasty, refreshing and such a treat as we'd been cycling in some pretty rude heat.
Picked up a t-shirt too so we can represent far and wide.
Was lovely to see that this seemed to be the busiest eating spot in town, great to see it do so well!
Little tip if you get stuffed as much as we did and it's a hot day: there's a park down the road on the left. Go lay down under a tree to nurse your food coma, you can then eat the cake before you...
Read moreWe were with a group of friends and found this gem of a restaurant purely by chance via a local google search. I rang the day before we ate, and shortly before we planned to arrive as we were a party of 9 and wanted to confirm space. They are a family run business, and could not have been more accommodating to us. Each family member was fantastic, and made us feel most valued. The food was superb and 7 of our group had never eaten vegetarian or vegan before, and are now very much sold on the wonderful choice, and will most certainly be eating more in the future. I cannot recommend this place enough, and it may well have been the best 3 course meal experience I’ve ever had. My only complaint is they refuse to move the restaurant from Wales to my home town in England 😁 We even bought clothing with profits going to a charity for trees and Gorillas. Be sure to look them up if you’re local. A total credit to the...
