Wow, what an incredible find.
We were in the area yesterday for my FiancĂ©âs birthday. We knew in advance that we would be looking for âpub grubâ and decided to take the drive out to The Fox & Hounds based on good reviews.
We were greeted immediately upon entering and sat next to a warm log burner which was welcome given the weather outside. We both had starters, the pork belly bao buns were incredibly good and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken tenders.
My partner opted for the fish and chips which she described as near perfect, her only âcomplaintâ was regarding the mushy peas which she described as âmintyâ.

It's so hard to find a meal at certain times of the day in Wales so we did a quick turn around when we saw the sign for the fox and hounds on the main road. Me and Cait had the chicken fajitas, clearly all freshly prepped and cooked by the chef, John had fish and chips which looked amazing and tasted it too apparently. There was so much food we were all stuffed. We had a glass of madri beer too, all good. Staff were extra friendly, lovely young people working behind the bar. And the dog was allowed in the bar but not the restaurant. Didn't matter cos you can eat in the bar. The restaurant looked very nice and the facilities were all good too. Obviously popular with the locals. Seriously , if you're in that area that's the place to eat for sure....
