A lovely little local pub that feels like you are out in the sticks, but actually very accessible from Caerleon, Usk and the A40. Less than 10 minutes drive from Raglan Castle. Very welcoming Landlord and bar staff. I called in on the off chance for a little bit of food as I was alone on a road trip and despite being short on a member of kitchen staff, they still fitted me in for food. No exaggeration!, as a vegetarian, I struggle to find a pub or even a restaurant that actually wants to serve up good food for "the veggie" and only put their all in to the meat dishes - however this pub food was the best food I have had! Their chips were stunning and I had the Mushroom Stroganoff (which wasn't on the menu but I was offered that as an alternative to the beef version) and it was absolutely gorgeous, freshly home made and not reheated stodge! Huge decent serving with loads of veggies, rice and chips! All at a very, very decent price!!! I would highly recommend this surprising little gem of a place! I certainly will be back with my husband for that gorgeous food. DRINKS - Again, very clean and tasty beer and ales on draught also at a very affordable price! Thanks to The Hall Inn for their great hospitality.

Popped in for a quick bite after travelling back from holiday after searching area came across this pub so glad we found it. A warm welcome upon entering and friendly atmosphere food choice was great better than some big chain pubs and restaurants we have been to. food was well presented and hot mains were great my girlfriend said best chicken curry she has had and real chips my cottage pie was great fresh vegetables will be booking soon nice little hidden gem would recommend

Nice pub. Full of locals all chatting. Staff are friendly and attentive. The pub itself has a carpark out the front and a big outdoor seating area (front and back). Out the back are some chickens and you can buy their eggs at 6 for £1. The food is nice and reasonably priced. Worth a visit for some decent food and atmosphere.

Visited the Hall this afternoon as a party of 4 , great welcome, warm friendly pub and a fabulous atmosphere. Table presentation fabulous with linen tablecloth. The pub was full as is mostly the case ,so booking is recommended. We have visited this pub on many previous occasions since Stuart and Steph took over, in a party of 4 and larger up to 16 people. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and anything you require even if you don`t see it on the menu just ask and they do their best to provide. The lunchtime menu is really good value with a wide choice to suit most. They also provide a specials board and if that does not satisfy then you can choose from the main menu. There is a good choice of beers, ciders and wine. i would recommend this pub as a friendly ,clean pub with fab food. Take your friends you wont be...

Took Mother-in Law for Mothers day lunch (on the Saturday instead). I had booked a table in advance having read such good reviews. We were met by the loveliest of staff & taken to our table. We chose from the 2 courses for 10.95. I had the whitebait, delicious & a huge portion, followed by the roast stuffed loin of pork with a leek and apple cream sauce, accompanied by a serving of fresh veggies. Tender meat with a really tasty sauce. It was nice to see real veggies too, not something out of the freezer. Pud was a bit of a let down, sticky toffee pudding. But everything else was spot on. I give the staff 5 stars...
