Absolutely amazing pub on the beach in the beautiful village of Moelfre. It’s an old fashioned proper food and drink pub. A great selection of Robinson’s ales are on tap along with ciders, wine, etc. Food is only served from 6pm to 8pm and you can’t make a booking. If you’re looking to eat on a Friday or Saturday I recommend getting there an hour early to claim your table. On to the food… it’s fantastic. Huge portions, freshly cooked and at a great price. Look at my photos to see what I mean. The gammon was incredible. A plate-filler but not too salty. I couldn’t finish it but my dogs were grateful. We ate there 2 nights during our stay and enjoyed both times immensely. The staff were superb. On the ball, great sense of humour and ever so efficient. A real credit to the pub. I simply do not have a bad word to say about this fantastic pub. If you’re in the area you’d be mad to miss it.

We came here for my birthday meal on a Monday evening in August. Inside was pretty busy and no seating for our party of 6, so we sat on one of the benches out the front, which we actually loved for the view. We ordered our meals, we were warned that the gammon steaks took 30 mins to cook, but food ended up taking about an hour and 15 mins to come out. We were all getting pretty hungry by this point, especially our 2 kids...... but the food was definitely worth the wait! We had gammon steak, double burger, kids pizza, jacket potato and I went for the the special of the bbq rack of ribs. The chips were so good, the gammon steaks were so thick and we loved the beer battered onion rings!

A hidden gem on Anglesey! Discovered this amazing pub/restaurant by chance on a magical mystery tour of Anglesey! An abundant menu is complemented by generous portions of piping hot food and is seved by friendly, helpful staff! Not only that the manageress speaks Welsh and the pub is dog friendly too! There are many pictures hung around the place detailng the area's local history and affiliation to the sea. A nice pebble beach is situated across the road and parking is free and available at the rear of the pub. A highly reccomended place to eat / drink and chill out! 🍔🍷😎

The food portions are huge, but there’s a lot lacking. We booked a table but none had been reserved it seemed. There was one table free when we entered, surrounded by men swearing their heads off with their backsides hanging out. (Not the best for kids , it’s chaotic on a weekend and very noisy). We moved to another table. We waited an hour for sandwiches and 2 hot meals. The portions are huge, the ‘Thai’ curry was nothing like a Thai, and was very bland. The worst thing about the pub is it is filthy. The carpeted areas are shiny, with a layer of grease/dirt on top. The edges where it met the tiled floor it was more apparent. Even the beer mats on the bar were old and tattered. The staff were all pretty dismissive bar one nice lady w glasses behind the bar. The toilets were also filthy, someone had even spat on the floor. It’s a shame because it’s in a great position with a nice view when sat on the front/outside. Needs some TLC and a...

You couldnt ask for a better location, the view is picturesque. The food is fantastic, home cooked and big portions.

Our experience wasn't that great though. 😕 Bank Holiday weekend and there are 2 members of staff serving.... after standing at the bar for 30 minutes before getting served then to be told there's an hour wait it just ruins the whole experience. Yes bank holidays are busier but surely a place like this in a location like this knows that. Definitely would make me think twice before returning .

The bloke behind the bar also needs to find a new job if he doesn't enjoy it or learn basic manners , didn't say please or thank you the whole time I was stood at the bar.

Daughter was also asked to turn her game down as it was 'annoying' the female staff member , yet numerous dogs barking was an acceptable noise (which to add I didn't mind in...
