A warm cosy amazing welcome is to be had at the miners arms. Settled off the main road of maeshafan village the miners is cosy on the inside but has an ample beer garden. With real ales and hot pies what better place to spend a weekend afternoon after a good walk up moel famu, or a morning at logger heads, both a short drive away cold beers Perfectly poured guiness and a selection of pies, served by friendly staff. Would 100% go here again.

Had a great days walk up Bryn Alyn through Big Covert and planned the route to pass through Maeshafn. We stopped off at the Miners Arms for a pint and a bite to eat. Great place to just have a pint or a tasty meal. We will be going back.

Appallingly rude staff. Myself, daughter K and son-in-law D visited about 2.30 on Saturday 30 March. People inside were eating but we were told "We're not serving food." We sat outside and D went in to order drinks but came out angrily after a few minutes as the barman had served the people beside and behind him, deliberately ignoring D. K then went in to order drinks. While she was there a member of staff came out to the family next to us, apologising for their long wait for their meals. When I said we'd been told that they weren't serving food she said "Well we're very busy and we're expecting a party of ten in." In other words we are serving food but we can't be bothered serving you. If she'd said "I'm sorry we're fully booked" or "I'm sorry, we're very busy there'll be a long wait" we would have understood but there was no excuse for the extremely rude way we were treated by both her and the barman. A pity as we remember this in the past as a warm, friendly, welcoming pub but we'll not be returning and are warning all our friends who also walk...

I am very lucky to have a great sister in law and brother in law that lives jut a few minutes walk from the fine bar / pub. I am a south wales boy and have sold beer for many different brewers for many years. this used to be a problem but over new year 2018 with the new owners I had one of the best nights for new years ever. the beer food and staff were amazing. i am jealous of my sis in law. she has an amazing pub so close with such amazing people. support his pub you will not be...

A warm welcome awaited us in the Miners Arms on a cold Saturday afternoon. Bar staff and landlord were friendly and attentive. We both had a half of the local cider and two chicken & mushroom pie lunches. Absolutely delicious and filled us up ready for our walk later on. Relaxing and roomy with a lovely atmosphere in idyllic surroundings…peaceful and picturesque. This was a return visit and there will be many more throughout the following...
