Sunday Lunch Took my family on recommendation very disappointed with meat. The cooked vegetables where excellent taste was top class. The Roast Beef was reheated was dry and not very good taste was not fresh. The process was not done correctly. There is a wider issue with Beef joints and it’s been like that for a long time coming out of the Butchers. The only easy around the issue is to buy Top side and cook it slow until 65 degrees and carve on the day . The beef has been poor since covid Silverside joints are not the same anymore sure it’s because of farmers using up dairy cattle. Buy Topside and see the difference it’s actually worth charging more for beef but buying...

Popped in for a Saturday evening meal with my partner and was greeted with lovely decor and welcoming staff.

Sat down in a very nice booth and ordered the home made curry with half and half chips and rice. and the mixed grill.

Unfortunately the curry and the rice were bland. Unfortunately there was very little seasoning, the chips were lovely though.

The mixed grill was hit and miss with the seasoning as some items were well over seasoned and some were not seasoned at all. The steak was not trimmed properly and a mouthful of gristle was not what we expected.

I understand things can slip so hopefully our next visit...

We have eaten at The New Tredegar on many occasions, and never had a bad meal. I am a vegetarian, so for me the choice of vegetarian options is important. My husband is very definately a carnivore, and the menu is so full of mouthwatering suggestions that he is often spoilt for choice. There is always plenty, so you never leave hungry, and you are not left worrying about the bill either. They are also open on a Sunday evening, which the two local competitors aren't. In short; Excellent service, excellent meal, good value in...

I stopped here for the Sunday roast. The service was very nice and the prices extremely affordable. Food portions were good too. However, I was not completely happy with the Sunday roast. The mash was a bit lumpy. The flavours could have been better. Nevertheless, what was really good about this place was that they had a vegan option. They had a nut roast which my boyfriend ordered. He was quite happy with it. It's nice to see a vegan option on the menu.

We've been visiting this lovely place for many years. As this was our 1st venture out for food Post lockdown our excitement and expectations were high. As always we were not disappointed. The welcome was as ever brilliant, the food was superb and topped off with fantastic service. Well done guts, keep up the fantastic work you do and the service you provide to old and new customers 👏
