Stopped here for food with my son today after visiting the garden centre. The initial impression was great, the restaurant is well presented with good decor and clean. We continued to find a table and ordered our food at the tills, staff were polite, friendly and professional. The food was great! Well presented for both the childrens meal and my meal. The food was tasty and worth the money in my opinion. The afternoon tea looked fab! I had a peek over to other tables. We will be returning.

Had afternoon tea, it was gorgeous. Loved that you could pick your sandwich’s and choose which cakes you wanted from the many delicious offerings. Throughly enjoyed and looking forward to returning for another. Excellent price to.

What a unpleasant experience we had today at the Olive Tree restaurant at Pyle Garden Centre. We took the girls for food, we shared an afternoon tea with a ham & mustard sandwich and the girls had chicken nuggets & chips total bill with drinks and ice cream (which we were told would be offered once the girls had eaten their food) £38. Our afternoon tea came with so much mustard in the sandwich it was dripping out! We informed the staff member who agreed they were inedible, she said the young boy who made them had never tasted one before so didn't know how to make it correctly and we were given a new one. The girls bit into their nugget only to find a blue object inside one! I took it to show the same staff member who said oh its plastic from the factory where its made would we like fresh ones?! I declined and said I wanted a full refund as the meal is not satisfactory. She wasn't willing to refund in full, as she said the blue plastic in the food wasnt their fault!and would only refund for 1 childs meal! After the incident we were made to feel very uncomfortable. Members of staff staring at us. No offer of the ice cream for the kids. We left with 2 very disappointed kids. We could have eaten elsewhere a lot nicer & cheaper. A...

It's clearly a popular place as it's generally always busy. This means that the space is rather cramped and there are areas where the tables are just too close together. I would also add that the chairs are SO uncomfortable! I've had a few breakfasts here with tough overcooked bacon and sadly they don't offer a gluten free sausage despite having a butcher on site that sells these. I'd say the food is hit and miss, today my jacket potato was nice enough, and my dad's cottage pie was also fine. My mother's gammon was not good sadly, cooked to leather hard and overly salty. The coffee is always lovely and hot, and there's a good cake selection! I also can't fault the staff, they are always friendly...

The olive tree is so elegantly set out, everything about it from the layout to the menu, events and the service are clearly well planned out and delivered. The team really are the best !! credit really goes to manager Claire, Nicola and the rest of the team they can't do enough for you and make any experience the best experience. I have recently attended the mother's day event and from start to finish the experience was just lovely and the food and service as always was fantastic 😊 keep smashing it...
