Booked Sunday lunch for 4 a week in advance. Arrived 7minutes ahead of our booked time, shown to our table, given menu's and greeter left us with no communication as to whether it was table service, order at bar or order from table....then we noticed a Q code card so we attempted to order via their Order from Table App....but everything was Un-Available so had to go ask if App was working and then I was told that kitchen had stopped taking food orders while they assessed if they had food to serve and that would take about 10minutes so back to the table to wait. When I booked this place I soecifically questioned the person taking my booking about food availability and choice given the time of my booking (3.30pm) and was told confidently that there would be no problem with availability.10 minutes passed no communication so back up to the bar where I was told it was OK to order..placed my order and food was served then they had a problem applying the coupon code that I had from Vintage Inns website after some faffing about they managed to get it applied to my bill and some 50 minutes after we had been shown to table by a very stressed young lady..I then asked Stressed young server if we could have more gravy bearing in mind there were 4 of us dining she brought an egg cup sized pot of gravy and when I commented "is this for 4 people" she barked back you asked for more gravy and it is very busy...so off she stormed to get a further 3 egg cup fulls of gravy. And then a lady came to table "claire" and I said "this is all a bit of a disaster isn't it" Claire then proceeded to give the excuse that it's because of the weather,my response was but I booked this table a week ago you have had all week to prepare your team even taking into account the weather. Anyway Claire was maintaining it was the weather's fault and that they can't predict what the weather is going to do. To be honest the whole experience ruined what was supposed to be a stress free carefree family sunday lunch out total lack of awareness by staff absolutely no communication and a general apathy to it is what it is by claire made it worse. This place is lacking in leadership, guidance, coaching of staff and is definitely lacking in any commitement to customer service...got the distinct impression the place was leaderless with no one with any idea how to run a restaurant. Think Vintage Inns need to send someone in to witness the operation at busy times and help the team there...it was lacking the basics of hospitality not to mention the staff members dropping the "F" bomb in ear shot of diners. Shame could be a nice place if it was run right. Staff need a lot of guidance One positive tho when the food eventually arrived it was pretty good so the place can produce a good meal the rest was woeful. Sorry for the very negative review Vintage Inns but be assured it was 100% accurate and honest.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlways visited this pub throughout our childhoods after a trip to st fagans museum however we will never return. I booked a table for 6pm and we arrived around 5 minutes early, we were seated straight away and our order was taken no later than 6:05pm. After 45 minutes, with our drinks completely empty, we asked our server if they could check up on our food. The server advised us that a new POS system was fit in yesterday so there was a technical issue and our order never went through to the kitchen. Surely after the 10-15 minute mark it should have been noticed that we hadnāt received our food and this should have been checked with the kitchen. Instead we were forgotten about and ignored. The server was extremely apologetic and took second drinks orders which the manager then brought over. It was apparent that the manager knew we were unhappy with the wait as he put the drinks down and hurried off as quickly as possible without a mention of if we had received our food/how our food was. We then waited a further 15 minutes so we then requested that the manager come over to speak with us. We were met with a lack of compassion and unprofessionalism and were asked āwhat would you like me to do?ā By the manager. It was repeated that there were technical errors which caused the delay. After looking through some of the poor previous reviews, I can see that they have blamed a new POS system for three weeks so this clearly was not the case. After being repeatedly told the server would check on the status of our food with no update and an hour and 15 minute wait, the food was finally brought out. Immediately, we could smell how burnt the pizza was and the rest of the food looked to be of low standard. This was the final straw and we told management that we would be leaving. The manager told us not to pay for anything and we asked for head offices number. We were then provided with the wrong contact number so had to go back in to confirm the correct number. The manager was extremely unprofessional and threw the server under the bus in this instance. The manager denied knowing anything about the delay in the food, which is a massive problem as the restaurant was not particularly busy and it is down to the manager to ensure everything is moving along efficiently. Over all the service really let the evening down and on what was supposed to be a special occasion, we found ourselves ordering at Burger King. I have no doubt that the restaurants response will be just as unprofessional as the previous replies and I look forward to speaking with...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePreviously rated this place 5 stars after many a good Sunday roasts in the past, however I can only really go on the latest experience:
I ordered the ribeye steak medium-rare and my partner ordered the beef rib. There was a bit of confusion over whether the beef rib was available or not so the waitress asked if there was a second choice incase it wasnt, my partner was already torn between that and the curry so gave that as the 2nd option. The waitress didn't come back to confirm so it was a bit of a lucky dip as to what would arrive, but we didn't question and found it a bit funny as my partner would've been happy with either anyway! In the end it was the beef rib so all was well there.
My steak on the other hand was very overdone. There was no pink in sight so it was well-done rather than medium-rare. I told the waitress, who agreed it was well done and took it back. By the time it came back my partner had finished her meal. The steak was better, but still more than medium-rare in my opinion. There was some pink now and a small amount of juice but I would describe it as medium to medium-well, but if it had come out like that the first time it would've been good enough for me not to send it back, even if wasn't as good as it should've been. It was also missing my beef dripping sauce that had actually come out the first time, so I had to ask for that too. After that it was a fairly eventless rest of the meal. We both had desserts which were fab, and my partner enjoyed the beef rib.
I'd like to give 3.5 stars as 3 does seem a little harsh seeing as they put the steak right, and the rest of the meal was good, but I can't bring myself to give a 4 after multiple steak issues.
All this said, we would still go back in the future, so hopefully I can give it a better...
