What a find. Visiting relatives, and they'd booked this gem for lunch yesterday. Our lunch was beautifully presented, cooked perfectly, and tasted divine. The staff were so friendly, polite, and looked after us and a group of about 20 ladies without any problems. The place itself was spotless and felt homely. If you're ever in Pembrokeshire, you should definitely call in for a warm welcome and delicious food. I had the Pensioners Special of Chicken Supreme, and it was a generous portion, too. It was so tasty I actually cleared my plate:-) To me, it was way above a Michelin style restaurant I had visited recently. Well done to all at the Pump on the Green. We will be back.

We were staying locally and disappointed to find the pub at our accommodation was shut. A few places nearby were shut or closing soon because they’d been open on New Years Day but thankfully when I rang here they were open till 23:00. N:B they are closed on a Monday. Unfortunately we arrived here to late and missed the food but we had a few pints and the staff were very welcoming and friendly as were the locals; also it is dog friendly. If you’re in the area it is a place to visit, I can’t comment on the food but the lager was nice and we felt welcomed; if in the area again I would make a stop to try out the food. What a shame they don’t do rooms.

I'll start with the bad but not bad. Ordered food and the staff got confused. Chef came out and sorted it all out, so was extremely happy that it was corrected. Food was delicious and couldn't fault it. Well presented and beautifully made. Good prices. Didn't have my mulled wine. 😞 Would defo go back. Lovely staff and very welcoming. Went back yesterday 3rd of August and it was perfect. Couldn't of asked for anything else. Staff as usual are welcoming and attentive. Staff assisted us with a surprise cake for my father's 76 and it was really good. Can't thank them enough.

No longer sell Abbot ale. Four starters were well below normal standard s cold mussles cold squid rings cold garlic mushrooms in a lumpy sauce. Mains just as bad fatty big burger which didn't come with relish as per menu. Over cooked soggy veg. Lumpy parsley sauce with the ham. Mixed grill over cooked with a very hard fried egg. Service at the bar well below normal. It was like they had the 'B' team running the place. We usually enjoy the Pump but not tonight. We did mention the cold starters but we only got an apology with no offer of heating them up or discounting the final bill. The meal for four Including drinks came to £133. I've paid less there and had much better. If this is the quality out of season then they need to pull...

Great pub, great food with really good portions and some nice fish specials. Lots of space between tables with lots of outside eating options. BUT the best thing about this pub is the staff and the locals in it. We were staying in Spittal for 2 weeks and they couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Always ready for a chat and a joke, with some brilliant recommendations for local things to do, our holiday was hugely improved by the places we visited because of the chatter in the pub. Quiz on a Sunday, the occasional party with late night singing, great owners, the kind of place that makes a holiday. They have also clearly pulled out all the stops to help their community in the past 18...
