The Pwllgloyw Arms — Restaurant in Wales

We visited here after attending a nearby country show. It's a small pub off a main road with a lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly, and we had no problem getting a table. Our food was good.

The only downfall was that all the vinegar pots on the tables were full of little flies! I didn't realise until I poured it over my chips. Which obviously ruined my meal. The waitress apologised and offered a new potion of chips, but I declined as the rest of my group had finished eating by this point. She also took the vinegar bottle away - I just hope they removed the other vinegar bottles off the rest...

We went to the Royal Welsh show in Builth Wells and stayed for 5 nights, it's just a 20 minute drive from the showground so was ideal to drive in each day and come back of an evening, the accommodation is basic but has every amenity, breakfast was also included in the price, we ate each evening and the food was of a very good quality and price, service was also very good, we would like to thank Beca , Richard and Nathan the chef , they have not long taken charge of the pub and I think they are doing a great job, well worth a visit if you're in the...

Five of us took our two labs with us for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent. We were offered seating as soon as we arrived and had a great spot in the lounge for the five of us with our two large dogs. The service was prompt and very friendly.
