Me and a group of friends to stop off here after a couple of days of hiking. The lady at the bar was really pleasant and it was a nice welcoming face to see. Decent range of drinks and you can sit outside and if it's sunny you've got an incredible view

The barmaid was very pleasant, & the pub itself was oldy-worldy. They do a couple of lagers, a couple of local ales & a cider on tap, plus the usual generic spirits. It apparently does food, although there was nobody in the kitchen. I know this because I accidentally wandered in there whilst looking for the loo...! Bottom line, take snacks if you're hiking...

If you're looking for the best of traditional local pubs, then this is the epitome.

Very cosy, good beer. Ideal pit stop for hikes.

If you're looking for food, it's recommended to book in advance as it's made to order. However, when I went on a Sunday afternoon to get some grub, the landlady bent over backwards to accommodate and brought out two roast dinners for my friend and me.

Lovely...

The very best pub we have experienced, with a very warm welcome. They exceeded all expectations by going the extra mile in helping us with a very stressful situation that we had got ourselves into. Without the help of the very kind gentleman behind the bar, we would have been in dire straits. Certainly a pub that should be visited. Thank...
