I personally liked it, but we didn't realise until we'd hiked there that it's not dog-friendly so we had to have one of us wait in the beer garden. The barmaid was very pleasant, & the pub itself was oldy-worldy. They do a couple of lagers, a couple of local ales & a cider on tap, plus the usual generic spirits. It apparently does food, although there was nobody in the kitchen. I know this because I accidentally wandered in there whilst looking for the loo...! Bottom line, take snacks if you're hiking...

If you're looking for food, it's recommended to book in advance as it's made to order. However, when I went on a Sunday afternoon to get some grub, the landlady bent over backwards to accommodate and brought out two roast dinners for my friend and me.
