My dog and I had a nice time here. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is amazing. The full Welsh breakfast was a particular highlight, and the extra doggy sausage was appreciated by my dog. Evening meals were nice too, though I would have liked to see more menu options with veg. I was allocated room 6 (Puffin room), which was very clean and well equipped with lots of tea/coffee/biscuits, a silent fridge, TV. The main issue for me was the noise from the bar area. It appears that it used to be connected to the bar, and the opening filled with a timber stud wall which lets a lot of noise through - this could do with soundproofing. This made it difficult to relax on an evening, but once the pub closed at 10pm it was silent so no issues getting to sleep. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept better than my own bed at home. Overall I would recommend but avoid room 6 if you are noise sensitive.

We stayed on one of the campervan pitches ..cannot fault anything there's everything you need .. fresh water showers dog shower food and drinks beer garden little shop with essentials facility to wash your camper van dirty shoes box.. literally everything..!! Every member of staff we spoke was helpful friendly and polite food was delicious breakfast definitely worth the money but remember to book it the day before everywhere was spotless including the pub, beer garden, and toilet and showers. We will definitely be visiting again can througly recommended The Ring ..if I were to ask for anything extra it would a shelf somewhere around the mirror area to put your toilet bag and toiletries when you shower and clean your teeth

We had a wonderful stay at The Ring in Anglesey for a much-needed family getaway with our two young children. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed — Claire, our host, was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right, and all the little extra touches really made the difference. The food was fantastic, and the facilities were spotless throughout. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into every detail here. It was the perfect spot to relax and recharge as a family. We would highly recommend The Ring to anyone looking for a peaceful, warm, and thoughtfully hosted escape. Thank you, Claire!

An ok place, stayed in the car park overnight in our camper van, paid £10 to use the toilets and showers which were clean and fairly new, plenty of hot water. There is akso a laundry room but didn't go in there, so can't comment on that, but it's in the same block as the toilets so expect it to be of the same quality. Service was excellent, staff were friendly enough. Food was of good quality. Not much in the way of vegan food however, just your bog standard, Green Thai curry, vegan salad and a Three Bean spicy thing that most food places offer because that's all us vegans eat. A bit more imagination would be appreciated. We had the salad and a portion of wedges. Portion sizes are ridiculously small. If I'd have known, I would have ordered 4 lots of each, but just as well I didn't, as just 1 portion of salad and a portion of wedges each cost a kings ransom. The salad came in a tiny dessert bowl with around 6 or 7 small wedges in a cup. I had to phone my bank and take out a second mortgage just to pay for dinner. Left the table still feeling hungry. We were supposed to be staying 2 nights, but decided to find somewhere more reasonable. Thoroughly disappointed in the meal. I could have gone to Waitrose and bought an entire crate of lettuce and still had change left over. Not sure how places can justify such small portions and charge so much. Would not recommend eating here unless you call in at McDonald's first.

In response to the owner, you are correct, I did get confused with other places we had dined at, as we were on holiday and ate and stayed at a different location every night. For that, I do apologise. Upon checking my receipt I see we both ordered a salad and wedges as I previously said, the salad alone was £17 a portion. Whilst it was indeed tasty and well presented it was of miniscule dimensions. Upon mentioning this to our server I was informed I could order another portion of wedges if I liked. However, at the prices you charge, I was reluctant to do so. I believe you had only 2 vegan options on your menu for that night, both of them a type of salad. I am afraid I do not find salad an actual meal. Whilst I am vegan, I do like to eat food that makes me feel as though I've actually eaten something. Maybe that is something you cannot understand. I am sure you would like to comment on this, after seeing your previous responses to unfavourable reviews, I have no doubt you will be as rude to me as you were to them. I wish you all the best for the future, I did enjoy the food, what little there was of it, but we will not...

⭐ 1-Star Review – A Disappointing Stay with Poor Communication and Hospitality

We stayed at The Ring Pub – Live Music (Rhosgoch, Anglesey) for a belated 30th birthday trip. Sadly, it was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to others—especially if you have dietary requirements or expect thoughtful hospitality.

From the outset, I requested fresh dairy-free milk due to a documented intolerance (both in writing when booking and again on arrival). It wasn’t provided, and I was later told it was my own fault for not asking. The only alternative offered was long-life packet oat milk. This kind of miscommunication set the tone for the stay.

The room had no personal touch despite being a small, “family-run” venue and it being a special occasion. It all felt quite flat and transactional.

We also dined at their on-site pub. I ordered the Sunday roast, stated my gluten and dairy intolerances again, and was reassured they were understood. But I was served buttery mashed potato (not listed on the menu), the gravy was not served on the side as requested, and when I asked for extra vegetables, I had to chase multiple times—and was eventually charged £2 for them, even though they were late and only brought after following up.

To top it off, when my partner politely raised our concerns while paying, the response from the blonde Front of House staff (I believe one of the owners) was rude and defensive—“I’m not short of £2,” she snapped, instead of simply acknowledging our feedback.

We left feeling uncomfortable, unheard, and let down. It wasn’t about the £2—it was about the lack of accountability, empathy, and basic hospitality. If you’re looking for a warm, considerate experience or have food allergies/intolerances, I’d strongly suggest staying elsewhere!

POSITIVES: Tea & Insant Coffee selections in the room are good. The food in their gastro pub is actually lovely - just the service/communication within the team that hugely...

Our night was completely ruined by the quality of my £27 sirloin steak meal. The steak was full of gristle and I was constantly having to remove this from my mouth. I eventually complained to the staff and really didn't get a satisfactory answer why the quality was so poor. Am I unreasonable to expect a decent steak for £27, or am I missing something. I did tell the staff member, people remember quality, not price. In this case the quality was dire!!!

11/03/2025 Much of what you say in your reply is accurate and had your staff turned this situation into a positive then this situation would not of happened. a) Even though my meal was ruined by very poor meat, I offered to pay half the cost as I had eaten the chips, mushrooms, a little of the meat. Even half the cost felt very generous on my behalf. b) It was obvious for all to see that my plate had a large amount of gristle left on it, hence the complaint. c) I tried to reason with two of your staff that, this meal was totally unexceptable at any price but certainly not at £27. d) You did offer a discount but that was an insult considing the quality and cost of this meal. e) I did say I would review my meal on the Web, which I did that very evening. I did this because I was not happy with the outcome. I was always taught that if a customer complains, turn that complaint into a positive and show them how quickly you react to that complaint. One thing I was also taught never, ever defend poor quality, because customers always remember quality. I'm sorry it came to this but I for one expected better treatment that recieved at The Ring. I also note others have been more than happy with your quality, bur I was not...
