Me and my partner recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic establishment that seamlessly combines a bar, restaurant, and hotel, and we must say, it exceeded all our expectations!

The hotel rooms were an absolute delight - clean, comfortable, and imbued with a warm homely ambiance that made me feel right at ease. We stayed in Osprey. The amenities provided were top-notch, catering to every need and ensuring a truly comfortable stay.

Now, let's talk about the bar - it's nothing short of upmarket excellence. The selection of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is impressive, ensuring that there's something for every palate. The local ciders are fantastic and are a must try.

But what truly stole the show was the restaurant. The food was nothing short of heavenly, and we can't emphasize enough how amazing the lamb dish was. It's an absolute must-try. The flavors were divine, and every bite was a delightful journey for our taste buds. The culinary expertise on display here is truly commendable.

In summary, this establishment offers an unforgettable experience. Whether you're staying at the hotel, enjoying drinks at the bar, or indulging in a culinary adventure at the restaurant, you're in for a treat. Clean, comfortable rooms, an upmarket bar, and delectable food - it's a trifecta of excellence that I can't recommend enough.

A massive thank you to Jo, Andy, Niamh, Tom, Jordan and Jack. You all added something to our little escape and we cannot wait to be back...

This was my second visit to the Roost. I have previously visited with my partner and the quality of food is outstanding.

The lunch design was a very broad tapas range. After trying pheasant for the first time here months prior, I felt safe to try something else new again too. I opted for the crispy squid, brisket with mushroom and vegetable dumplings. Given the size of the party, I will only address my own food.

The brisket was served with a mushroom dumpling and a rich sauce. The mushroom dumpling tasted good but when combined with the brisket, it was ten-fold better. The brisket was gorgeous and fell apart with ease and the sauce just tied it all together. I would definitely eat an upscaled plate at a later date.

The vegetable dumplings weren't to go down without a fight though and tasted excellent. I cannot recall which vegetables were in there exactly but I can recall the Vietnamese dip that was served with them. The dip was more like a soup, to be frank, and complimented the dumplings incredibly well.

Last up was the crispy squid. Forewarning, I don't eat seafood often but I chose to make an exception for this plate. The batter was a tad salty for some and the squid wasn't the chewy nightmare I was expecting. I was completely surprised. There was a side sauce served too which tastes very tomato like and dampened down the saltiness. This is by far the best squid I have ever tasted.

Overall, I will be visiting here again...

Had a Sunday lunch here as it was highly recommended. I walked in just before 1 o’clock and managed to get a table. The decor is contemporary modern, very clean and has great natural light. The bar staff were pleasant, polite and welcoming. I ordered the leg of lamb lunch. It was served in under fifteen minutes, so good time.

The lamb was slightly overdone to my liking and the roasties ( two ) were hard and dry. The broccoli stems ( two ) were almost just stems! Cabbage and sliced carrot with what looked like a carrot purée completed the meal. The gravy was served in a jug, was rich, tasty and saved the day.

I had to ask for mint sauce as it was overlooked. No seasoning on the table which was an indication that it wasn’t needed. The barman walked around the restaurant asking if anyone would like another drink. That I really liked, customer service. I had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream as a desert and...

My friend and I came here late evening after going to the beach for some dinner as it looked nice on Google. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to go, they were about to close the kitchen but very kindly offered to fit us in right before closing. The owners here are absolutely amazing, very friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely chat. I honestly couldn’t recommend anywhere more. The food was delicious, top standard all fresh and gorgeous presentation. I had the lamb duo and my friend had the steak, both recommended by a regular customer and cooked perfectly, but everything on the menu looked lovely. So glad we found this place and will definitely be returning for more :)

What a super find this was. Room above a restaurant which was beautifully appointed with all facilities, including a coffee making machine with free kids. Fridge stocked daily with milk, orange juice etc. To top it off the food in the restaurant was absolutely superb, the lamb was especially lovely. Highly recommended!

Such a nice venue in a relatively secluded spot. It feels a lot further away from civilisation, despite being in a busy village around a mile or so from the main road. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The food and the service were spot on, and the whole place is very cosy. We'll definitely be going back.
