Visited this pub when my phone was low on battery after a motorbike ride to the horseshoe pass. On arrival I was greeted by two men having a ciggy who were proper sound. Walked in to around 8 locals who were all welcoming. A nice warm log fire on the go. Barman was a belter. Dead nice and a proper character. I put my phone on charge behind the bar and ordered the last Guinness of the barrel. Apparently there’s a Drought on Guinness in wales 😆. The Guinness was a gorgeous last pint though. I then got chatting to a great bloke called Peter who was nearing 80 years of age. We spoke non stop for two hours about his life on Motorbikes with his favourite being a triumph which his better half bought him with all the bows tied around it as a gift. Unsurprisingly he’s still with her today. Half way through my stay the landlord approached me and said my wife had been on the phone and was worried I’d had a crash on my bike!!! In wales I can’t even escape the ball and chain 😂. I must delete the gps tracker on my phone!! She was only concerned or maybe she thought I had another woman on that go. Anyway. One more pint of beer (pint of water, just in case police are reading) A beer called sweaty balls or something, actually tasted like amber nectar and went down a treat. Some more motorbike talk and an occasional shout about shooting deer. I headed on home and told everyone I would be back within the month. Thanks all!! See you...

Read moreWell, I can't give a comprehensive review, as having walked 3 miles to get there, they didn't take card, so I couldn't buy anything. I know it's in rural Wales, but it's also 2018 and they have a website, so I didn't think it was that big an expectation... That said, it seemed pretty old school, and a bit run down. Wasn't a hugely welcoming entrance and bar area. I'm unlikely to...
